Yep......ceasefire, right? WIthin days of it's taking affect on Sunday, there will be claims on both sides that the other side broke promises. This is a political stunt with mostly the Biden administration involved with supporting characters from Arab countries. Some officials don't think there is enough meat in the agreements. The language in them is vague, on purpose, to get the two sides to sign something. Biden, particularly interested in a legacy motivated, mostly meaningless agreement to claim he resolved the conflict. He did no such thing and the coming days and weeks will prove it.

Trump quite literally took all credit for the deal on Truth Social.

I think that's generally true and always a consideration, but in this case, Hamas has been obliterated for 15 months. It's not a matter of immediate capitulation. It's a deal after fucking them up for a long time.
