Love em or hate em he’s loud and talks a lot. Quite a recommendation from Liney. Tweeting = getting things done.

You can take the boy out of the country ...

Just face it, Strangelove. Rural life is better than city life. It just is. And its what millions and millions of other Americans choose to do.

80% of America does not live in your brain dead, ambitionless small hick towns for a reason.

Thomas Dewey wanted to make something of himself so he moved to New York. If he had stayed in Owosso he’d have been a high school dropout scooping farm seed into paper bags the rest of his life.

I bet Owosso threw a parade when Denny’s opened. Best food anyone around there had ever tasted. Asked if that was the most popular restaurant in New York City.

I know this has been a bad couple months for you Strangelove. Hang in there. Both osu and the Dems will be back any day now.

Unlike Columbus, we don't have a Denny's. I understand that this is considered high cuisine in Columbus, but so far, the Denny's corporation has chosen to build elsewhere. We're fine without them. We'll survive just fine with our family owned restaurants, with homestyle cooking using real food.. You ought to try it sometime.

Your irrational hatred of Real America is somewhat disturbing, but I understand where its coming from. Bitterness is an awful thing. Learn to let it go. Trust me on this. I would never steer you wrong.

          • I'll give New York and even San Francisco some credit for maintaining, after all of these decades of mismanagement, a unique charm that only those huge cities can provide. I think that I would prefer those to being in a gigantic, culture-less blob like Houston. So basically any big city that got big after about 1970.

            • New York's Mayor Adams seems to be coming towards the light just a bit. He's starting to realize that the Democrats will feast on their own if it gives them a political advantage personally

                  • President-Elect Musk and Vice President-Elect Trump aren't on the same page and both making irrational, conflicting demands. Both of them overreading their "mandate" to govern. Johnson's Speakership already looks in jeopardy because he can't turn water into wine. But who wants his job, really?

Along those lines...quality of life around Columbus is high, I would say, but in terms of culture Cleveland still blows it away.

Or people cashing out their Trump election winnings. The DOW was 41,767 on November 4th and shot up to 44,923 by Nov. 11, eventually peaking at 45,014 on Dec. 4. It closed at 42,326 yesterday. I don't know how we'll ever recover!

                        • The whole time it went up during November, Trump and MAGA claimed it was because the markets were excited to have Trump back.

Now that the Dow has dropped 11 straight days, the longest losing streak since 1974, MAGA is oddly quiet. But it's probably Biden's fault.

Quite possible that yesterday was the last rate cut for a while.

                            • Since acquiring power in 2023 the Republicans have not successfully passed a single appropriations bill. They've only been able to do CRs that continue the 2022 budget written by Nancy Pelosi's team. This CR is supposed to get the govt to next March where they claim they will finally pass their own budget. But I highly doubt they will. It's an unmanageable caucus with too many nihilistic freaks more interested in social media clicks than governing.

                              • So... the country is in a good position then? You literally post a stream of "the sky is falling" alarmism and then poke fun at the Rs because they can't or won't do any of the things they say they'll do. So which is it!?
