I don't have a good explanation for the stock market the past 12 years or so. Going back 12 years, the NASDAQ has averaged (geometrically) an 18% return. During a period where economic growth has been meh. It's virtually impossible to come up with an explanation for this that doesn't involve the stock market being a bubble of some kind. But I was thinking that back when it was 10,000. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Print trillions of dollars and watch the price of everything (including stocks) go up
I would think that since he will be a dictator on Day 1 he could set prices to be whatever he says...
Kind of a change in tone from this:
“Prices will come down,” Trump told voters during a speech last week laying out his vision for a return to the White House. “You just watch: They’ll come down, and they’ll come down fast, not only with insurance, with everything.”

It could be that simple, I guess.
Those of us who socked away significant 401K savings in the 90s and oughts have been the beneficiaries of this for sure. Huge windfalls and I'm not seeing this talked about much anywhere.

Of all the things that definitely happened, this definitely happened the most.
”And her grandson was there when she told me this and he was this big tough guy straight from central casting and he had tears in his eyes as he thanked me for allowing his granny to buy 3 apples a week and not just 2…”
