the total vote will end up being pretty close to 2020. Harris will prob have about 5M votes fewer than Biden, not 16M like some people claimed based off incomplete information and a desire to paint the 2020 results as too ridiculous to be credible.

One of the few positives about this result is the election denialist industry is going to struggle to make money off this one.

It can't be that they don't have the money.

Maybe they're thinking that they'll stay for Trump's tax-cut for "the rich".

I doubt we'll see any of them volunteering to pay more on their taxes so that they are paying their fair share ...

Looking at the election results by demographics, they don’t really tell a story that the election was a rejection of “woke” policies on the left. Trump won because of inflation. And it’s kinda hard to say that he has much credibility on that issue. The inflation of the Biden era was largely a “tax” being levied on us for all of the money fhat we printed during the Covid era. And Trump was President for that.

This was the first election in my lifetime that was decided by a large shift in minority voting patterns. Trump actually lost a couple of percentage points when it comes to Whites. But he gained double digits with Hispanics. I haven’t seen a satisfactory explanation for this. I think that it is probably people voting their wallets. This shift won’t be permanent though. My previous arguments about demographics still apply.

The map that I have posted shows some pretty unsettling trends in Georgia and Texas, which will be a purple swing state soon. That is, unless, the Rs change their approach. A big item that they need to take off the table is abortion.

It looks like Kari Lake is going to lose a really close race again. Having lost once already she probably wasn’t a great candidate, but she got really close without any support from the RNC. Instead, Mitch McConnell spent millions in a Maryland Senate race that the R lost by nine points. The Party of Stupid strikes again. Fortunately, he’ll be gone soon and that era will be officially over.

-- Poor Justice Sotomoyor. MSM talking heads are suggesting that she needs to resign from the USSC, so that Joe can appoint her successor before Trump is inaugurated. One other wag even suggested that if Sotomoyor resigned, that Joe could nominate Giggles to the USSC.

All Sotomoyor has done, is behave like a good little liberal democrat, voting The Party line in every decision she's ruled on. Yet this is the thanks she gets? "Resign now"? If the woman can still do the job, why should she resign? I would rather see a solid conservative in that seat, but I don't think she should be forced to resign due to some political stupidity.

So they want to force her to be sitting right behind Trump on Inauguration Day so that she's one of the first that is forced to shake his hand? Man, these democrats are merciless ...

I don't think Jill would allow Joe to resign. She wants him there until the very end. The Bidens are still pissed that Chairman Joe was forced out in favor of Giggles.
