Bernie was, first and foremost, and economic populist. He was almost "one issue" -- though, it's a ginormous issue. He wasn't sucked into the truly Woke-bullshit part of the party. But he eventually was.
I'm not sure how he does in a general. But, IMO, he tapped into a lot of the same "angst" that DJT got to -- and he might have actually held his own on that front -- or won. Instead of getting absolutely annihilated.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

It's hard to imagine the Ds winning in 2024. That's the correct post-mortem. The candidates didn't help, but the fact is that the electorate was dead set on rejecting The Chairman and I don't think any D was going to get out of his shadow. Harris had zero chance of doing it. Shapiro or Newsome or Sanders...better chance, but I don't think any D could have escaped the The Chairman's gravity.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
