Oh, there will be a lot of kooky bullshit but at least Kamala Harris will never sniff the presidency.

lol remember when Politico (I think?) wrote a piece right after the assassination attempt about how Trump was a changed man. Very spiritual now, very serene.
His final two weeks his platform was basically Kamala is a stupid bitch and everyone should be nicer to me and thank me more often

Worked, didn't it?
But honestly, I actually did think he was way more light-hearted and affable. Even self-deprecating at times. The McDonald's stunt was pure political campaign gold as was the garbage truck in Wisconsin. I listened to the entire Joe Rogan podcast and he was just laid back speaking contemporaneously on a wide range of topics and came off as an intelligent thoughtful guy for the most part.Last edited by Mike; November 6, 2024, 11:23 AM.

It got him elected. You seem cheerily optimistic that Trump can no longer harm the Republican Party going forward and the economy can't possibly get any worse than it is right now (a goddamn fucking nightmare). I'd be careful (the Republicans should be too) to not regard this as a sweeping mandate. This ain't 1984 or even 2008, bub.
This election teaches us once and for all too that the average American is far more bothered by inflation than unemployment, because inflation affects everybody at least a little bit.

IMO, there were two issues the Ds had no real good answer for:
(1) Inflation. The Chairman certainly exacerbated it and the voters knew it. And then The Chairman refused to acknowledge it. Then The Chairman said it was only transitory. Then "elites" started in on how it really only affects the wealthy. There wasn't an ounce of honesty in it.
(2) Immigration. The Chairman certainly created the problem. The Chairman denied a problem existed forever. D sanctuary cities screamed no mas in rank hypocrisy. The Chairman continued to do nothing until maybe the very end.
Neither of these issues are hard to follow or figure out. And they're important -- as a matter of politics, at least -- they're important.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.
