    • Trump will govern like Mitt Romney or George W. Bush. Talent tells himself that every night before bed. Heh.

      • Iowa called. Shocking
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
        Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

        • If you think Trump will be restrained by the people around him this time, think again. He's well aware he fucked up and hired too many independent thinkers the last time. Nothing but sycophants and loyalists for White House jobs. He'll push wildly unqualified people for Cabinet positions and when he cannot get them confirmed by even a Republican Senate he'll search within the federal bureaucracy for an eager-to-ascend opportunist he can appoint as "Acting Secretary". Then replace them with another "Acting Secretary" a year later. It's what he did with DHS after he forced out Kirsten Nielsen because she wouldn't "bend" the law enough to his liking.

            • The only bright spot is Trump is promising a return to $1.50 gas and 40 cents for a dozen eggs. you'll never pay income taxes again and you'll still get all your social security. He'll have a Republican Congress and a Republican Supreme Court. So when, in 2026, he hasn't delivered on that shit (and he won't) what is he going to say? It's the Democrats fault? Blame Oprah Winfrey? People are going to be reminded pretty fast of what a completely inept piece of shit he is. And he's well along Joe Biden's senility track.

              • Trump is also pretty much aware that the Dems were ruthless in their weaponization of COVID back in 2020. He wouldn't have been eligible to run in 2024 otherwise

At least he might cut your taxes by $200 or something. The tariff regime and cost of living skyrocketing might cut into that a bit but 19th century mercantilism just might work for us. He's already said 1890 was the best time to be alive in America.

                      • Relax. Your party will not let Trump win and you know it. Then you can continue to call us stupid.

                        • Kamala bears her share of the blame but in the end she's a bad politician put in a tough spot.

Trump 2.0 is far more Biden's fault because in early 2023 he should've made it clear that he was retiring. Instead his circle of C-list Obama administration staffers plus Jill insisted he was doing great and should run for reelection. And a lot of the people advising him became her campaign team. And guess what. They sucked.
