Iran is capable of launching a wide range of ballistic and cruise missiles into Israel (see the link belwo). Such an attack would utilize hundreds of UAV's designed to overwhelm Israel's Iron Dome. Then the missiles start flying.
So far, various Iranian proxy forces haven't conducted a missile attack against Israel sufficient in numbers to do that. Today's very public announcement that the US "believes" Iran is preparing to attack Israel....... no, they absolutely know it is. US SIGINT platforms routinely monitor and watch for activity on frequencies that are used to signal missiles being readied to launch. If this Iranian missile attack actually goes down it's hard to determine how the Iron Dome will do. Notably, the US integrates some of it's most advanced surface to air missiles into the Iron Dome. As well, there are, right now, substantial Naval Assets with sophisticated early warning and shoot down capabilities in the waters of the ME.
Depending on what happens in the next 24h, the US may or may not get involved with direct retaliatory strikes on Iran's infrastructure including oil refining and nascent nuclear facilities including both nuclear power facilities and nuclear weapons development sites. How Putin and Xi would respond to that is an unknown publicly but you can bet good money US and Israeli intelligence services have a good idea. Biden (or whoever is running the show right now) and prior administrations have pussy-footed around for decades avoiding confrontations with Iran and it's Axis of Resistance. The costs of that are now evident. It's clear that Netanyahu has said, fuck this. We're going to see to it that Iran's proxies are neutered and that the message is clear, "we're coming for you, Iran."
I applaud that and hope Biden stops calling for cease fires, instead, keeps his mouth shut while fully backing up Israel's defense.

Back in April when Israel offed two IRGC generals in Syria they responded with a limp-dicked barrage of 300+ drones and missiles almost all of which was intercepted. I imagine this won't amount to much more than that. Israel's been humiliating them for weeks so they had to do something to save face else their proxies, dumb as they are, might start to realize the boss does not quite got their back.Comment
