Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

We live on St Simons Island GA. It is a small barrier island about mid way between Jacksonville and Savannah.
We were lucky that the center of the storm was quite a ways west of us, but we still got our asses kicked.
Has anyone heard from Jeff Buchanan? I heard from some friends in south FL and they got hammered too.
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

I have heard from friends all up and down the southeastern coast, in the Caroline foothills and the mountains. They all got the shit kicked out of them.
This is one hell of a storm.
Too bad Trump isn't President. He could have Nuc'd the damn thing and saved us all a lot of troubleI feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

And considering the temps are "only" going to be in the 70's, he's probably bringing his parka."The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, .. I'd worn them for weeks, and they needed the air"

I'm in Saline MI hoping to stay dry tomorrow for the Minnesota game. Remnants of Helene now in N KY are pushing rain showers past the OH/MI boarder tomorrow. It's pretty windy here in Saline, just west of Ann Arbor but warm and dry..... for now.
Checking out my security camera's at my home in Fort Lauderdale, nothing out of place and I made no Hurricane prep because when we left a week ago, Helene was't even a tropical depression and was sitting off shore of Cozumel Mexico potentially headed to the the gulf coast near Apalachicola (it actually made landfall about 50 miles east in the Big Bend area.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
