  • The R's new slogan should be...."Go Woke...Get Smoked"
    Shut the fuck up Donny!

    • Using the word "woke" isn't very effective because it has been overused, but the policies that generally fall under that umbrella are overwhelmingly unpopular.

      • Harris is talking as a moderate...but her decisions and governing over her career are far left...she had a chance to come to the middle with Shapiro...but went hard left with Walz...

        Her actions speak volumes...

        • Over half the United States believes "woke" just means being polite, accepting that racism has an impact, and not calling people racial slurs.

A strong majority of the country is also against affirmative action.

But the dimwit populist recommendation is always to use simple, stupid, nuance-free talking points instead of attacking policy. So you get "War on Woke" instead.

          • Here's a perfect example -- racial discrimination in college admissions. Being pro racial discrimination is -17, and I'm guessing that the average respondent to this poll has no clue of the extent to which racial discrimination has actually been practiced. If you showed people actual data, I bet that gap would be even bigger.

Classic example of an easy win that the Rs simply won't take because they are a combination of extremely stupid and totally gutless.

            • Even the D party completely rejected Harris 4 years ago...now she is their hero? heh

Walz is also for a completely open border...good luck with that too...

                • Yes.

The D party is the party of the extreme loony radical left...the party of The Squad...

...but no worries...according to CGVT...most of America is "woke"...

                  • "Woke" is just shorthand for far left social ideology. If people are burned out on the term, and they probably are, then R messaging should just refer to them as Leftwing Extremists - which they are.

The first of DSL's articles I looked at says this:
                    • GOP voters aren't as concerned with wokeness as some GOP candidates might think, a new poll suggests.
                    • Some GOP presidential hopefuls built careers on anti-wokeness, but that's not the priority of most voters.
                    • If given a choice, most GOP voters polled by NYT and Sienna College chose a "law and order" candidate.
Well no shit! "Woke" policy-making began specifically regarding law enforcement/policing. "Defund the Police" is pure woke. So if someone answers a poll question that they'd rather address high crime rates than focus on "anti-woke" policies or whatever, it's kind of the same thing.

The GOP defused whatever impact "anti-woke" might've had by getting too ridiculous in the other direction.

Regardless, voters want to hear what you're doing to improve the economy. Not your plan to "de-woke" public schools. DeSantis flamed out because he focused too much on this overly online culture war bullshit.

Voters' priorities aren't set in stone, and social issues aren't just distant trivia that doesn't affect the average American anymore. The Vice President of the United States and one Supreme Court judge were selected solely based on immutable characteristics. That one Supreme Court judge could not define what a woman is. That Vice President is now a Presidential candidate, entirely by default. That's a pretty big fucking deal. It gets at the fundamentals of what your society is, and whether it is a functioning heathy society, or one poisoned by extreme decadence and decay.

Once again, nobody is out there advising Democrats to avoid social issues. Abortion is purely a social issue. "Institutionalized racism" is a social issue. Trump grabbing women by the pussy is a social issue. "Abortion for rape or incest" is an issue that affects a downright microscopic portion of the population and it was the number one attack route for the last Michigan governor race. Democrats hammer on all of those. And it works. And they win.
