Boy o boy, this just reminds me once again how much we really needed DeSantis or Ramaswamy in this race instead of Trump. I think that most Trump voters would have really liked DeSantis if they had given him a chance.

Trump is getting hit hard on Agenda 2025. Kamala Harris talks directly about it in her ads. And it is effective, even though he has disavowed it. Meanwhile, Republicans are busy lecturing each other on how important it is to not be racist and sexist when they should be running ads 24/7 hammering Harris for her far Left Wing politics. It's example # 78,381 of how the Republicans are completely inept dipshits when it comes to politics and messaging. The Party of Stupid. Democrat messaging is more aggressive and more effective than Republican messaging 100% of the time. JFC the BoomerCon era of Republican politics cannot end soon enough.

The good news for the Rs is that DeSantis appears to be more representative of what future R politics are going to look like -- aggressive and focused on winning and getting results, without being governed by fear of offending people.

Too bad DeSantis has all the charisma of an IRS auditor. Which is why Dirty Don was able to kick his ass and run his undies up a flag pole.

Gotta ask yourself if the conservative base actually values substance, when Trump has coasted three straight campaigns to the nomination, and probably will again in 2028 when he loses to Kamalot.

The base values substance, but they have been backstabbed so many times that a significant percentage of them will never trust a traditional Republican politician again. This is a big problem for the Rs, whose only solution at this point has been to complain about how stupid their own voters are for wanting their elected representatives to do what they say they are going to do. The damage that has been done since George W. became the standard bearer for the party is going to take a generation to fix. And we don't have time.

DeSantis does have the charisma of a pregnant spider though. And when he ran for President he listened to all of the wrong people.
