I see TDS is still alive and well here among the loons. If you think the RNC is a clown show...wait until the DNC...heh.

There will be plenty I don't like in a 2nd Trump administration but it will be offset by a few key issues such as the ones you list. Like if he appoints Kanye West to a cabinet position but secures the border, I can deal with that.

I think the Ds should honestly be saying The Chairman should stop being President. This isn't a question of win/lose -- it's a question of whether he can actually do the job. And it's blindingly obvious that he's not up for pretty much any job. TODAY. Not 4 years from now. TODAY.
Have you ever thought about Trump perhaps having regrets about some of the mean and offensive things he has done (I'm thinking about his mocking a disabled reporter, among scores of other things)? This failed assassination now gives him an "excuse" to reign in those types of incidents. I don't know if he can do that, but tonight's speech will be a good first test.

I was listening to Byron Donald yesterday, and he mentioned some statistics that I doubted until I looked them up. In 2020 there were 161.2 million registered voters in the US. Biden received 81.2 M votes. Trump received 74.2 M votes. Other candidates received 1.8% of the votes.
If you simply add just the Trump votes and the Biden votes, you have 155.4 M votes for the two major parties. That is a 96% participation rate for the registered voters. In prior presidential elections, 70% participation was considered full participation, but in 2020 it was over 96% (when you add in third-party votes)
Does anyone believe there was a 97% participation rate four years ago?

I'll take the arse. I'll take low inflation. I'll take a strong military. I'll take a secure border. I'll take a rational energy policy. I'll take law and order.
Not really a choice and Harris is worse than the corrupt zombie.
Please explain in detail how this will lower inflation or if there's some other secret plan to lower inflation what that might be. Shrinking the labor supply by deporting even the well-behaved, employed illegals won't exactly help either.

In 2020 the participation rate was around 66%, not 96%

It does seem a little odd that the number of registered voters increased by 15 million from 2018 to 2020, then dipped 7 million for 2022.

Evidence is piling up that the assassination attempt was a planned inside job. The shooter was nut job but he almost certainly had a handler. His social media was mostly scrubbed before anyone was able to access it, which is pretty rare. The sniper who killed him had him in his sights but could not get the green light to take him out before he shot.
I am a big believer that DEI is poison for an organization, but it's not possible to be as incompetent as you would need to be for the shooter to have had that opportunity. He got in one almost perfect head shot that would have hit perfectly had Trump not moved his head a little bit. Multiple people spotted him and pointed him out and the Secret Service did nothing. The guy was carrying a ladder and a rifle in plain sight. He did everything but wear a sign saying "I am about to assassinate Donald Trump" When little old ladies at a Trump rally know security better than the Secret Service, that's not just incompetence. It's intent.
But don't worry, folks. The same people who told us that the Hunter Biden laptop was fake are on the case! They'll figure it all out around the time that they figure out how the cameras watching Jeffrey Epstein just happened to malfunction at the same time that the guards watching him just happened to fall asleep.Last edited by Hannibal; July 18, 2024, 10:31 AM.
