  • New poll from Wisconsin shows Biden behind Trump by 5 points and behind Tammy Baldwin (the Dem Senator) by freaking ELEVEN points.

    • “The morale of the caucus is at historic lows” one member said. Told that others had compared the mood to a funeral, they replied: “That is an insult to funerals.”
Hopes for a buoyant “rally around the flag” moment out of Tuesday’s caucus discussions did not materialize, though.

“I’m concerned about him dragging the ticket down,” Illinois Rep. Mike Quigley said as he exited the meeting. “I don’t think he should stay in the race.”
He also suggested that others shared his view, but wouldn’t say it out loud — and that he was sworn to secrecy as to who.

They were “already off the Christmas card list,” he said.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

Well...maybe so. But that just means he was never sharp.

            • The D's are in a mell of a hess right now. Chairman Joe is the nominee based on the primaries, and the only way that changes is if he releases his delegates and/or resigns as President. Both seem less likely with each passing day.

However, there are plenty of presidential wannabes in The Party, and if that office becomes vacant, they'll be crawling all over each other to get The Party's nod. And none of that is going to be pretty.

I said about 2 years ago, that if The Party was not careful, and if they handled the Presidency stupidly, that they would guarantee Donald Trump another term. That looks like it just might be happening.

                • It's been almost two weeks since the debate and the Biden camp promised a bunch of appearances that would change your mind about doddering Joe. If any of those have happened I haven't seen it. George Stephanapoulos told some guy on the street that Biden shouldn't serve another 4 years after seeing Biden up close in person.

                    • A couple days ago Sen John Kennedy said regarding what really motivates Congressmen:

Congresspeople are the kind of persons who would unplug a life-support system for a patient to free up an outlet from which they could recharge their cell phone.

                            • Please, please: Will you stop all these ridiculous, hypocritical worries about who and what are “threats to our democracy?”

                              Just stop.

Most people who chatter endlessly about “our democracy” are supporters of the administrative state.

Nothing is more undemocratic than three million unelected unionized bureaucrats who can issue and enforce regulatory edicts that are binding on citizens and have the power of law—even though every 4th grade charter school student and every 10th grade student in public schools managed by teachers unions knows regulations are not laws.

To boot, most people wringing their hands with concern about “our democracy” are members of the Democratic Party — the only national political party that features “super delegates,” which are crony political insiders whose votes count more than ordinary citizens voting in primaries.

Remember, Democrats, when you wanted Bernie as your nominee, but the “super delegates” within your own party wouldn’t let you have Bernie? What’s more undemocratic than that?

You’re no fans of democracy. You support all kinds of institutions and practices that are undemocratic. And, democracy is no good goal. Democracy is, by definition, a mob. Democracy does nothing to protect the equal rights of unpopular numerical minorities.

So please, stop lamenting about “threats to our democracy.” That includes you too, @NewYorkTimes.
