This election is the first one in which a major social media platform will not be wholly controlled by the Democrats. Lots more information is allowed to leak out now. Previously, stuff that was Haram was censored.

You actually have to violate the terms of service to get banned now. I think that racial slurs still get you a ban, but not informational posts. I do see the hard R occasionally now. I'm not sure if those accounts last. You can block stuff if it offends you. And contribute to community notes when you can. Community notes is an excellent feature and the best solution for fact checking that anyone has come up with.

I reported a guy the other day for posting somebody's address (it was a right wing guy posting a left wing guy's address BTW). He got banned, so there is still moderation where it needs to be.

The only people I've blocked are obvious bots. I get at least one new "follower" a day that's someone that joined Twitter like a month ago and has zero followers. Immediate block.

Bots generally don't show up in my feed. It's only when you click on a prominent person's replies that you notice how many of them there are and using bluechecks to get pushed to the top.

The whole revenue sharing scheme incentivizes the worst in people no matter the politics. Not a fan. You think Jackson Hinkle believes in much of anything he posts? Probably not. Why do I want to read hundreds of insincere yet attention-grabbing posts from people like that?

It's behind a paywall but an internal poll leaked today showed Biden now losing to Trump in New Hampshire, Virginia, and New Mexico. Barely ahead in Minnesota.

And there's a story about White House and campaign staff being angry and baffled that Hunter has started sitting in on a lot more meetings.

Pelosi, Schumer, and Jeffries all admitting to reporters that Biden hasn't spoken to any of them since the debate. Too busy hashing out strategy with Hunter I guess...

Asking a state legislator to do something isn't a criminal act in and of itself but what ACB is saying is that it's not remotely part of the President's official duties to order around state legislatures. So if there WAS a crime that took place, it's prosecutable. I suspect several of the other conservatives agree with her but chose to stay silent for now.

The fake electors are where the liability lies. Trump's people organized false slates in 7 or so states. Not one of them was actually certified by a state legislature. Which is what Trump was hoping they would do after he browbeat them in phonecalls.

Trump's defense has been that he's somehow the Chief Elections Officer of the United States. There's no such thing.

Trump claims that the President is charged with seeing that the laws be faithfully executed in federal matters.
