Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season
Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.
Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.
If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!
Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.
Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Honest question for the conservatives. Say Bud Light ceases to exist and jobs lost because of it (and yes I know it is part of a conglomerate) is that a win for conservatives?

I would assume that people that lose Bud Light jobs will pretty quickly find comparable jobs. That’s the complete equation.
And the answer from a conservative perspective is that it’s a market reaction and market has spoken. There are lots of companies that fail because the market rejects the product/service. The win isn’t in the failure it’s in the functioning of free markets. People lose jobs when markets function properly and gain more.
And to answer the follow on point — if a company wants to sell on a political posture then they’ve opened themselves up to failure on that posture. The market ought not be a one way street. Ideally, the products would succeed or fail on their own merit, BUT, if your branding includes a political component then that’s now going to factor into success/failure.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

AB/InBev's loss is Coors/Millers/Yuengling's gain. I do feel bad for the BL drivers, merchandisers, distributors etc...but people will always drink beer...the overall consumption has not changed...the marketplace rules...stop making your company political...follow Michael Jordan's stance...Republicans buy shoes too...Shut the fuck up Donny!
