        • The Chairman only does as he is told...the Progs knew it was not going to pass the USSC...it's just a demagogue issue for them to show how much they care and the R's don't. It's what Progs do...symbolism over substance...feelings over reality...

            • The Chairman insists the Court got it wrong on the student debt issue...claiming that it is hypocritical to have supported PPP payments to small business but oppose this.

Ummm...pssssttt...Joe...PPP helped businesses shut down through NO FAULT OF THEIR OWN...and WRONGLY I might add...and frankly only covered a fraction of the losses many incurred...same old BS argument...meant to yet again create a divide amongst the American people...oooohhhhh those mean hypocritical businessman (all conservatives I'm sure) raking in bucks while little Johnny and Susie...who got duped into a massive student loan to cover a worthless woke education...well they get the shaft....

              • There are economists who believed that cutting student loan debt would significantly boost consumer spending at a time when it was declining COVID and post COVID. That's been the draw and the prevailing prog narrative.

Theoretically, that's probably true but the problem with that "old" analysis is that consumer spending as a percent of GDP is already rising (68% this month, up a couple of points and way up from a year ago) turning the student debt relief nonsense into nothing more than a handout to borrowers who spent on education unwisely. That penalizes those who took on debt and actually bought an education where they get job offers and become contributing members of society who pay taxes instead of the raft of free-loaders occupying space.....oh, and who provide votes for the D's.

Myself and all of my kids who have advanced degrees in medicine and the sciences were vocally opposed to the Biden scheme and how he tried to muscle it in over the objections of a whole lot of Americans who either paid off their loans or were close to it. Love this court.

                • PPP was established by an act of Congress (CARES Act) that was signed into law by the President. The way separation of powers and lawmaking works.

Student loan forgiveness was established by authoritarian decree.

The Court —at least 6 of them — still has some interest in separation of powers and Constitutional structure.

He then will be working against the wishes of the majority of Americans on both these issues. That needs to be a point made loud and clear. It isn't.

Its hard to account for how the US government has gotten so far away from the first three words of the Preamble to the US Constitution – “We The People” – affirm that the government of the United States exists to serve its citizens. The advancement of the administrative state is part of it in that people fail to understand the risks to freedom of choice that advancement entails. There is still too little castigating by the MSM of this occurrence and its purveyors of it. There are outposts but not enough Americans are reading those outposts instead choosing to lap up the paplum of leftists who hold positions in the MSM, government and higher education.

Yes yes the 6 conservative members of the court have never once in their in their lives decided a case based on personal politics. They’re all committed to the most objective and profound judgment
