    • The Sparty professor is some bold shit, particularly from someone that was only an adjunct or instructor (from what I can tell - she's been scrubbed from their website). lol @ The Rebellion RV

Never had a Prof do anything remotely like that. They all include their own books on the required reading but that's about it.

I hate it when pussies on the Right apologize for shit that they should not apologize for. Drives me nuts.

              • Mike's point, Whitley, regarding your scenario is that the law, the House version of it (linked below), allows for an ill-defined crime of "hate." The 1933 Bill that's amended by the House proposed Bill, among other things, changes the crime of using an "ethnic" basis (pretty clear what that means) for it's commission to this ill-defined basis of "hate," clearly a thought or feeling. As Mike provides in the Pride example, "You won't fly the pride flag at your business so I feel intimidated and afraid to go into your business." Is refusing to fly the pride flag in your place of business constitute a hate crime under the proposed house bill?

I think your scenario in the restaurant setting, regardless of context, could be considered a hate crime under the new bill and very well might be by someone trying to exploit it - in this case the manager. That's the problem Mike is pointing out. The guy doing the intimidating gestures could be charged under the new bill. Under existing law, he'd only be charged if he acted by punching the guy out on his intent to intimidate him.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                  • "Hate crime" laws exist solely to punish men and whites.

I read an article that quoted her as posting (I forget where) that she was fired for teaching CRT. LOL. She's such a victim. Speaking of which, is there any criminality involved here?

The RV thing cracked me up too. On the one hand, she's a big environmentalist/anti-capitalist. Then sets up a GoFundMe to drive a fucking RV across the country to preach progressive gobbledygook.

Maybe fraud charges if she claimed the money went to political causes and she mainly spent it on herself. But it seems like she was vague and inconsistent about where the money went. So likely as much a grifter as an ideologue. If she was an adjunct (I don't actually know that, just surmising) she probably didnt make a lot and given her ideology had an axe to grind over that. Makes it "acceptable" to steal and cheat because why shouldn't she enjoy a comfortable life while fighting the great cause?
