Also, I wouldn't waste much energy defending assbags like DJT. Circling the wagons for party is Prog shit. It's why the "love" The Chairman and Giggles. And it's why they defend HRC for doing much of the same thing DJT did and, lol, denying the existence of Hunter's laptop or that the Media actively worked to shelve that story when it might have mattered.
Don't be a Prog.

Pretty sure Trump has been compared to Hitler about 10 million times by the left...forgive me for this one indiscretion...
Oh, for sure. And, of course, anyone on the right is described as a "fascist" even though they haven't a fucking clue what they're saying. Ironically, heh, when the right turned around and started using "woke" in an omnibus way the Left immediately demanded a precise definition. Such is life.
My rule of thumb is that nobody is Hitler and that if invoke Hitler it's just plain silly, which is why I view so much of the Prog Left as fundamentally silly and disingenuous in almost every position they take.
Now, Hannibal will surely come in here and note that you can't take the high road against the Progs, that if they're always gonna be on the low road then that's where you need to be and that they're always going to try to shame Rs into staying on the high road w/ disingenous claims of "hypocrisy" and that, perhaps, the best thing about DJT is that he took the fight to the Left w/ their own tactics. I'm not unsympathetic to that, but it's not for me.

Points taken. But we are closer to a Banana Republic than the Nazis...yes...but it is fun to draw comparison even if bordering on ridiculous and watch them go nuts...
Anyway, on the merits of this particular case, IF the Feds can prove up the allegations then DJT has done something that merits some sort of criminal penalty, I guess. Not harsh, but some sort of "hey, man, you can't do that shit" sort of punishment. And Wiz is right that the crime seems more predicated on, to be charitable, an absolute unwillingness to cooperate at all.
And, yeah -- HRC was doing something very much in the same ballpark.
Like I said, I thought the HRC email stuff was meh. I'm meh on this this.
That's all I got.
Except that I would like to note that the Braves are my Smarty Jones Lock of the Year to win the World Series. An even bigger lock that HARBAUGH!!!! winning the CFP.

The DJT way (Fight! Fight! Fight!) has been enormously beneficial for The Party. I shall decline to say which Party.
I'm not entirely clear on which one. We have a divided Congres, R control of a ton of states and a D-President that is massively underwater, but who is at least not in the Mariannas Trench with is goddamn VP and heir to the throne.
So, I mean....as we currently stand, I'm not sure -- unless the argument is that the Ds and The Chairman have been soooooo massively incompetent that maintaining any sort of parity in DC can only be attributed to the MarLagoAssbag -- I guess I could hear that one out. The predicate is certainly there.

It's not hard for me to see R's having unilateral control of the federal govt from 2017-2025 if not for Trump's colossal asshattery.
Well, I mean, we definitely agree on D-incompetence. And DJT assbaggery.
I dunno -- I think it's still hard maintain control of the Federal government. Things ebb and flow too much, and the 436 swing voters in this country are fickle fucks.
