This is who will be running the "new" PGA. They're calling it a merger but the more you hear about details it starts resembling a takeover...

    • I would say a monster win for LIV...a great win for golf fans...a good thing for the PGA...and a bad deal for the media...

Little Bobby sees something about trans and decides he wants that.
Little Bobby goes to parents and says I want my dick and balls cut off

        Parents say absolutely Little Bobby

Parents call the doctor and schedule little Bobby's surgery to lop off his dick and balls for next Thursday.o
Puberty blockers (around 3500 kids a year, up to over 5000 in 2021) and sex reassignment surgery (top and bottom) with minors absolutely does happen (about 400 a year).

Sure adults can have the surgery, but children are different. We don’t usually allow children to make a lot of serious or irrevocable life choices - even if others, including their parents, sign off on it.

        For example:

If a 7-year-old wants to get married, the answer is no, regardless of who signed off on it, including the parents.

If a 10-year-old wants to join the Army, the answer is no, regardless of who signed off on it, including the parents.

If a 13-year-old wants to do porn, the answer is no, regardless of who signed off on it, including the parents.

We can add buying alcohol, driving a car, and a bunch of other things to this list if we wanted.

The thing is, the vast majority of healthcare professionals and people on the Left agree that it needs to be delayed until the person reaches 18. I have no idea how this became a political issue. It’s pure partisanship. I guess, if the Right wants it, I must oppose?

It’s just insane. This should absolutely be bipartisan.

            • I'm squeamish on allowing full surgery before 18. I think I'd allow the hormonal stuff. Require more doctors and shrinks to sign off.

              • I saw a comment today that compared sexual mutilation of children to lobotomies. There's always a time when something new seems like a great idea until long term effects and new information comes to light. Europe has backed off of this nonsense for those same reasons.

It's plain as the nose on your face that cutting an adolescent girl's breasts off to treat her mental illness is nothing short of madness.

It's still legal in the bathroom when you're over international waters.

The problem with puberty blockers before and during puberty is that it halts normal growth and development and that can be permanent. It’s not like you can decide you made a mistake at 25 and go through natural puberty and development.

                            DSL,

The problem with requiring more doctors or therapists to sign off on it is that there is always a group that will sign off on it. It becomes a cottage industry for them. People will travel to get the paperwork they need. Like shopping for a doctor to sign off on your 100% disability rating even though you play tennis 4-times a week.

                            • To AA's point, read this affidavit: https://ago.mo.gov/docs/default-sour...t---signed.pdf

Now, you may want more or may say -- "ok, sure -- but that's one clinic." But, it ought to be enough to raise at least SOME concerns. They were not at all in treating the child's actual problems -- they were only interested in gender reassignment. That was the sole mission. And this was at WashU -- an absolutely reputable school.

If you went to this clinic as a child with mental issues who also claimed gender dysphoria you were flat out getting puberty blockers. There was no effort to figure out if dysphoria shit was real or just a product of much more severe underlying mental issues.

Maybe it only happens at WashU.
