  • That's probably a little harsh on both. I mean...a LITTLE harsh.

A plurality of Americans think that if either The Chairman or DJT win, it'll be a disaster. Both are at god-awful approval/disapproval numbers. And, yet, here we are -- steaming toward the biggest fucking turd sandwich in the history of elections.
Which is exactly why I don't see either of these asshats getting nominated. Neither party likes either of them (despite the inevitable Frootcakes rant about how Trump controls the GOP!!). Both have served as warnings to be careful with what you ask for.

Wouldn’t surprise me to see a “Succession: The Movie” in a year or two.
Wow, I'd already completely forgotten about that Sopranos prequel.

McCarthy cannot pass anything without the Dems if just 5 Republicans revolt. And one just announced he's resigning today (Stewart-UT).

If you think the House R's have the numbers to pass an earthshaking bill with a Dem President and Dems controlling the Senate, you are delusional. Massie refusing to kill it in committee just guaranteed its passage.

                  • The latest company to have a fatwa issued against it by our brave rightwing culture war protectors is...lol....Chick-Fil-A. Their crime is releasing a DEI statement. They've had a diversity executive for over a decade but culture war conservatives rarely have an attention span longer than 48 hours so this came as a huge "surprise".

So in the past month you conservatives have (at minimum) been commanded to stop buying products from the following

                    Anheuser-Busch
                    Target
                    Molson-Coors
                    Disney
                    Ford
                    Kohl's
                    Chick-Fil-A

Shopping on Amazon or Ebay or using Google or Apple products are of course under a lifetime fatwa.

Trump has over a 30 point lead and the only candidates who will attack him is Chris Christie and Asa Hutchinson. What don't you get? I don't need to rant on this, it is a simple observation. Anybody arguing something to the contrary is wish casting for a GOP that no longer exists.

                        • Most of the right-wing media outrage pornographers have never had gainful employment, to answer your question. The thought of having to give up the influencer racket and go mix paint at Home Depot is a continual specter pursuing them. Hence the constant snipe hunt for something to be furious about.

The only one with any legs is Bud Light. Target, maybe. Haven’t heard about anything for Ford (surely you aren’t talking about the gay truck), Kohl’s, or any of the others.

The thing is when a company feels a need to make socio-political policy statements that have nothing to do with their business, customers can feel that company’s values don’t align with their own and they have the right to not spend money at those businesses. The virtue-signaling policy statement that has nothing to do with their business is as universal in corporate America as it is ridiculous. If a breakfast chain is selling sausage biscuits, I don’t need to know how they feel about trans rights, the second amendment, the war in Ukraine, or anything of the like.

“We would like to sell you a sausage biscuit, but before we do, do you know our stance on Rwandan HIV+ trans midget wrestlers who want abortions and who own firearms?” NO?? Here is a copy of our stance on the matter!”
