I don't think that losing in the general is a guarantee for Trump. Both Trump and Biden have gotten more negatively viewed in the eyes of the public since 2020.
I think that the swing states would be close again.
Trump's exclusivity contract with Truth Social ends around June 1st. Everyone expects him to be back on Twitter almost immediately after that. His wild rants will be more mainstream again, more in the face of the public. And at least on Truth Social he's gotten way more into sharing QAnon content over the past year.
Being banned from social media actually helped him improve his image over 2021 and 2022. Kept him from indulging his worst impulses.
But I don't deny Trump could beat Biden. It's just that Biden will be favored, barring an economic meltdown, and Trump is pretty much the one candidate he can beat.

Same. Although the thought of a rematch is revolting, we're still over a good 15 months away from the conventions/stretch run/debates. Biden's decline could be so substantial by then that he's no longer a viable candidate to anyone other than hardcore Ds.
Talent, I agree with your implied assessment of David French (He's no friend or potential friend of Captain Ron). But, in the NYT's piece he wrote and I mentioned in my post, French makes a strong argument that Disney's law suit looks winnable.
The Disney suit alleges Desantis removed decades long covenants between the state of FL and the Disney properties that grant tax and other benefits in retaliation for public statements Disney made opposing Desantis' wrongly named (IMO) "Don't Say Gay" legislation. The legislation prevents public school teachers from including sexual orientation or gender identity subjects in grades kindergarten through third grade (a completely reasonable anti woke effort). It claims that it's a violation of the freedom of speech provisions of 14A .
The folks don't understand any of the legislation in question because it's been wrongly characterized by the left leaning FL MSM. I don't think many sensible American, certainly a majority, thinks it's OK to teach those subjects in K-3 public school classrooms. So, my post's intent was to describe the kind of disinformation he's up against in his potential run for the R nomination as well as point out the strength of Disney's suit on 14A grounds. When Disney wins, and I believe they will prevail in court, Captain Ron is going to have to fight an uphill battle clarifying the issues at stake and by that time, it may be too late. IOW, he may have been better off with an anti-woke strategy in FL that didn't expose him to a take down like the one he chose probably will
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

FWIW the bill was recently expanded to include ALL grades, K-12. He's under pressure to keep ticking rightwards to win the primary. I have not heard anyone say with clearness if HS seniors can discuss sexuality in a classroom other than sex ed (which you'd presumably be taking in Jr. High, not late high school).
Based on things I've read Disney has a solid case. Probably less so for the 1st Amendment stuff and more regarding contracts.
My point wasn't that it wasn't winnable. I think Disney would likely prevail and Disney has sued in the ND Florida and is front of a judge that hates DeSantis. So, they're going to win. My point is -- so the fuck what? He's "fighting woke" which serves him well in the primary and doesn't really hurt in the general. Whether he wins or loses, he "fights." Now, this might outrage the likes of David French, but David French doesn't matter one fucking bit. Not one.
So, again, so the fuck what if DeSantis loses to Disney?
Again, I wouldn't be tilting this hard that that particular windmill. I think there was definitely a point where he could have easily claimed victory and walked away. But politically it's a "so what?" Now, if you want to dig into the substance and whether the act of invalidating the contract is good or bad, that's fine. I wouldn't do it. I don't think the State should interefere with contracts unless they have a goddamn good reason. But that's a fairly esoteric argument that likes of David French are very interested in but that voters, well -- they either like or don't really are about.
This is supposedly video of the “assassination attempt” on Putin. Lol more like an attack on a flag which survived the mighty blast. No way this thing flew 500 miles from Ukraine.
Speaking of America's Governor, Ron "The Fighter" DeSantis:
Not Going to Fly Here’: DeSantis Signs Far-Reaching Anti-ESG Bill into Law
“We want them to act as fiduciaries. We do not want them engaged on these ideological joyrides,” explained DeSantis at a speech coinciding with the signing. “They want to use economic power to impose this agenda on our society. And we think in Florida, that is not going to fly here.”
The law also prevents banks, other financial institutions, and government contractors from discriminating against individuals and organizations on account of their political views. For example, this would ban banks from applying a “social credit score” and denying services to people based on religious beliefs or views on the Second Amendment, illegal immigration, or non-renewable energy sources.
