He's not going to be replaced as POTUS if elected...they will do a Weekend at Bernie's if they have to...I mean...it's practically that now...

          • The one thing you gotta remember is California is the most important state in the union.

Incumbents dropping VPs just isn't done nowadays.

Then they should probably try to run it competently.

              • Well true but we haven't had a completely inept dipstick like Giggles either...this is like when you hire a friend at your company...and they are so bad...your staff is complaining about what a shit hire they are...and if you fire them you are basically admitting you are a complete idiot too...so you keep them on and just find simple tasks for them and hide them in the mailroom...

                • It’s certainly true now that California is king. I’ve heard that Texas will overtake her in population and GDP within 20 years or so. Part of that is Texas’ pro-business framework combined with California doing everything they can to shit in their own bed.

                  • Do you think Donald Trump should become President again even if found guilty of a crime?

Yeah, the entire South has a pretty significant opportunity for growth owing, in no small part, to at least a mdoest acquantaince with sanity. It seems very possible to me that Florida, Texas and Georgia will surpass, say, California, NY and -- I dunno -- Pennsyvlania/Illinois.

And, of course, they'll eventually attract more rich white elite folks who vote blue and will eventually start the slow drift to Californian Regulatory Dystopia. Good times.

Population centers in Georgia are already blue or are heading that way quickly. It’s tough to move that needle in Georgia, though, because they have 70 zillion counties and state politics there give counties equal footing in a lot of lawmaking.

iirc, Georgia has more counties than every other state other than Texas.

I believe this is a relic of segregation and like Mississippi, Georgia used to have an effed up "electoral college" of sorts for statewide elections. It wasn't good enough to win the popular vote, you had to win a majority of the counties too.
