Like all of the cabinet positions, it also could be not useless if it had a competent leader who took his job seriously. Having somebody devoted to the task of monitoring and revamping America's infrastructure could add a lot of economic value. That might be racist though.

In other legal news, the feds made it official yesterday that they will not pursue charges against Matt Gaetz for banging that 17 year-old and flying her back and forth to the Bahamas. Sounds like the rationale was "Welp, everyone involved is a dirtbag so how can we really believe anyone?"

Our Transportation Secretary is utterly incompetent as an executive and has proven so in both the private and government sectors. He is Transportation Secretary BECAUSE he is gay. That is a huge difference. The train did not derail because he is gay, but having an incompetent nitwit in charge of the aftermath is because he was an affirmative action hire.

What progressive fools cannot understand is that there is a tension between competence and diversity. This is partly due to a statistically significant divergence in the median IQ of the various races. A white person with a median white IQ would be in the 91st percentile of the Black IQ distribution. Same with LBGT+. Gender dysphoria is not a desirable trait in any leader. Sure it can be overcome, but why give hiring preference to those with this condition?
