  • IMO, Oz was a boring candidate who wasn't good at retail politics and who ran a really bad campaign early. He let Fetterman define him without calling out the single biggest issue re Fetterman...whether he could, you know, function. Oz still ran way better than Mastriano, who was actually a very, very bad candidate.

In Georgia, Kemp won easily. Walker lost. Now, you can throw your hands up in the air and wonder why or how that could have possibly happened, or you could take the obvious message.

They forced him to resign because that photo (along with an accusation of some unwanted sexual advances) came at the apex of the #METOO movement and they had little choice but to make him their sacrificial lamb to give credibility to "believe all women". Once the Kavanaugh madness was over, they went back to ignoring sexual misconduct accusations against Democrats again.

Thanks for making my point. His opponent stayed in the basement the entire time and only came out occasionally to stutter out a few incoherent lines. Any issue that Oz has as a campaigner goes double for Fetterman. Hillary Clinton was the most transparent carpetbagger in the history of politics. Nobody in New York cared. Why the one-sided view and the double standard on candidate quality? Why do Republicans have to roll a Natural 20 all the time when it comes to candidate quality? Ask yourself that question for a minute.

Any open attack by Oz on Fetterman's fitness for office would have backfired spectacularly. The media would have portrayed him as "ableist" or "mean spirited".

        • The R party is like a baseball manager...who has Trump on the mound giving up home run after home run...but refuses to leave the mound...and you have DeSantis in the bullpen...with 84 saves and an ERA of 0.23...
          Shut the fuck up Donny!

Ask yourself why the Pennsylvania electorate voted for Fetterman.

Own your shit, dude. You always take time to remind me "you voted for it." Well, THIS is your fucking shit. Deal with it. It's LOSING. Let me say it again....LOSING. You pump it out into the marketplace and it gets rejected. HARD.

              LOSING.

Well, not only that, but, apparently, you have some Rs who are wondering WHY they're losing and blaming the batters for destroying the pitcher.

Because there is a significant portion of centrist and center right voters (you included) who disproportionately punish Republicans for character flaws and other non policy-related issues. This block does not exist on the Left.

                    • Also, in Georiga EVERY SINGLE STATEWIDE REPUBLICAN WON WITHOUT A RUNOFF.

                      EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. Except Herschel.

Now, maybe the Rs just "rolled 20s" with EVERY SINGLE CANDIDATE, or maybe the Rs -- when they're not saddled with DJT fucking crazy -- can still beat the Ds bigly.

So, Oz was still DJT guy. He wasn't Mastriano, but he was still DJT. And Fetterman was a bad candidate -- he was certainly no Shapiro. SO, that the Senate race was much closer than the absolute aboriton in the Governor's race. BUT, still, the Pennsylaniva electorate preferred a barely literate stroke victim to a DJT-endorsed candidate. You can bitch like a pussy all you want about how silly you think that it is, BUT, that's what they did. You can either learn from it or lose more.

Yes, you voted for all of it. You thought that the Republicans would win by losing in 2020. How's that workin' out for ya?

Yeah, the character flaw of embracing DJT. Until you admit that the driving reason for candidate quality issues was the embrace of DJT you're going to continue to get the wrong answers or no answers at all.
