Elon Musk is demonstrating the accuracy of The Peter Principal. The guy is functionally brilliant but he's gotten a bit Trumpy as far as his ego goes. He's definitely overplaying his hand.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

The dude got suckered into laying 44 billion for a company that was probably worth 8 billion. That's not very good business acumen.
The problem with losing whole teams of engineers is a lot of tribal knowledge of the systems. You can find qualified engineers at a cost but if there is nobody to explain how everything works, it will be rough.

Maybe it'll survive all this but I dunno. The only big change I've noticed is how easy it became to imitate verified accounts. Supposedly the entire payroll team quit and most of accounting is gone.
The biggest mistake in the company's history was back whenever Jack Dorsey decided to take company public. That meant the pressure would be amplified tenfold to monetize the platform and JMO it isn't as easy to do that with Twitter compared to Facebook or Instagram.
