A national health system would be an abject disaster. National insurance might be a workable idea but as soon as that happens we need to severely punish sugar consumption and fatty foods. Are you ready for the health gestapo??

We are already paying more than universal health care would cost. We have the most expensive healthcare in the world.
Universal health care works in the rest of the world.
I feel like I am watching the destruction of our democracy while my neighbors and friends cheer it on

The US health care system is an abomination. It's more fragmented and costly per person than anywhere on the globe. There are pockets of medical excellence in the US. Not surprisingly, there are timely and equivalent quality services available in many foreign countries. If you choose to take a medical vacation, and many are for cosmetic stuff, Insurance doesn't cover medical services provided in foreign countries.
The solution to America's shitty HC system is DEFINATELY NOT UK's NHS or anything close to it for obvious reasons already presented. Making HC more accessible and lowering the costs of it is an immensely complex problem. Reducing it to, Oh, we just need a national health care system like the VA is ridiculously oversimplified and stupid. Discussing solutions among the amateurs here is a also waste of time.Last edited by Jeff Buchanan; October 13, 2022, 08:39 PM.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

It will never work without more competition for services to bring the costs down...which the government has proven over and over it cannot do. There are a plethora of reasons why healthcare costs have gone sky high...and the government only makes those reasons worse.Shut the fuck up Donny!
