SANTA ROSA, CA — Tragedy struck the sporting world when an entire professional soccer team was killed after the team bus glided ever so slightly over a minuscule speedbump at 0.5 mph.

I have VA health care. Because I am outside of an MFT area I use Tricare Prime. I pay $600 a year with $30 per visit copays and about $15 for my healthcare and I have never had a problem other than typical insurance bullshit issues. Any time I have been to a VA hospital the service was as good as any I have received at other facilities.

      • Anyway, universal healthcare is an utter pipe dream in the throes of inflation and the Ds trillions of dollars of waste. So, whatever.

Meanwhile, The Chairman has promised there will be "consequences" for OPEC cutting production. Now, if it were some entity in the US cutting fossil fuel production the consequence would be a damn parade and huge celelbration. So, who knows what The Chairman has in store for the Saudis.

It sort of underscores that amongst every group, there's a liberal/conservative/moderate split. The Ds try to get "brown" people to overlook those splits in the name of race. It works with AAs, but it's less effective in other groups.

And some of these groups are, in fact, more conservative, on average, than white folks. I mean, church folk, in general, would lean that way.

                Eh, whatever.

Irritating. All it takes is one weak-kneed juror to muck it all up.

The elephant in the room. Although there's only 3.5 Muslims in the U.S, there's 2 billion worldwide. Including abortion, gay and trans ideals, much more conservative than Christians, yet the media will always focus on the extreme Christians and be weary of Including Muslims.

problem with the VA is it has 120 billion dollar budget for medical care only --roughly about 5 million vets use it which is 24K per vet per year

                      as opposed to this https://www.cms.gov/Research-Statist...%20total%20NHE.

so yeah we nationalize vs current system and we just added another 5 trillion to the budget

And the government should have no say in who my PC physician is. Even if they are footing the bill. One of the gold standards of the argument for abortion rights is to "keep the government's hands off my body". If universal health care becomes a reality, then all the government should do is shut up and pay the bills. Let the patient and doctor decide what the course of action is.
Milton Friedman said that if a government or any other actor gives away something of value for free, there will have to be rationing.
