The problem is not that he hasn't "fought for" progressive policies, it is that he enacted those policies and the country is going to shit. If you substitute Butt-itch-itch or Fauxohantas for Biden, the result would be equally bad. What you are arguing about is how best to choose a candidate that can get elected by hiding progressive policy ideas from the electorate.

Bolded statement, times a fucking million. That's why Mayor Pete would be a very good choice for the Dems.

      .
6,. Advancing the LBGTQIA?!!!1#@(*) agenda in ways that nobody even imagined were possible just five years ago. Mothers are now officially "birthing persons" and the latest Supreme Court justice cannot define what a "woman" is. You now have a US navy ship named after Harvey Milk and thanks to Joe Biden, this is the future of the American military.

          • For you pols...... where does CA Governor Gavin Newsome fit in to the 2024 clown car of D contenders for the presidency? Apparently, he's sending signals that he will run.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

              • 1) The president has very little control over a global market place like crude oil. This is the free market at work. I would suggest though that it is interesting that big oil are announcing record profits AND we are seeing record prices at the pump. I am sure it is just a coincidence.

Long term though, yes US needs to get away from fossil fuel usage.

2)The only reason Biden administration is having any open borders is federal judge as ruled that continuing the Trump policy (which the Biden administration continued) is not legal.

                3) Well BBB never passed so that is a moot point. So should there not have been any stimulus for business or people then? Let the free market dictate the economy.

                4) Let's see here. The economy continues to funnel wealth from the lower classes to the top 1%. The economy works for them. The middle class is going down the drain. Working class even worse off. The economy is not working for them.

There needs to be an economy that works for everyone. Business is too much about the short term. No long term planning.

A great example of this the airline industry. They had to be bailed out during the great recession. When the pandemic hit they needed more bailout. And they got it with few strings attached. As soon as they could let go of people they did so, thst short term thinking meant when demand went sharply back up they were not prepared for that.

                5) Please. The three that Trump got pushed through are just much of ideologues you just happened to agree with them.

2012 Detroit Lions Draft: 1) Cordy Glenn G , 2) Brandon Taylor S, 3) Sean Spence olb, 4) Joe Adams WR/KR, 5) Matt McCants OT, 7a) B.J. Coleman QB 7b) Kewshan Martin WR

I think he is the most logical candidate.

                  Sadly.

                  • Well it's no secret that during high inflation the rich get richer and the rest typically get poorer. So how do Progs and Dems claim to be the champions of the poor and middle class again?

                      • Whitley, great stuff .......

This is what we need here in the US:

                        (1) A president for life.
                        (2) A rubber stamp Congress, Judicial and Executive that bows to the whim of the lifer president
                        (3) A political police force that insures the president's policies are carried out at the federal level and conformed with by the citizens
                        (4) Centralized Economic Planning with price controls to tamp down the variances and wealth maldistribution associated with the free market.
                        (5) Abandoning fossil fuels by decree - the sooner the better for the planet and for American citizens.

I suggest partnerships with Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, Nicolas Mudoro and the Mullahs in Iran to name a few.

I hope you are being sarcastic. I have not advocated for any of that and resent the implication.

                          • For those good with probabilities, what are the odds both James Comey and Andy McCabe and their spouses would all find themselves under the most intense "random" IRS audit possible within two years of being fired by Trump? The two years in question were about a 1 in 30,600 chance and a 1 in 19,250 chance.

The former F.B.I. director and his deputy, both of whom former President Donald J. Trump wanted prosecuted, were selected for a rare audit program that the tax agency says is random.

Probably about on par with the likelihood that Jeffrey Epstein would successfully hang himself with toilet paper, breaking his hyoid bone in the process, during a bizarre camera malfunction during which both guards on suicide watch somehow managed to fall asleep.
