The most recent Harvard-Harris poll had DJT beating Biden by 6 head-to-head and, heh, Cackles by 11. It's almost impossible to overstate how fucking bad the clownshow is when you're losing, outside the MoE, to DJT.

It would seem fairly obvious that most Soviet republics are better off from, you know, an obvious communist, centralized goverment control state. Almost anything would have been better than the socialism they were forced to live under. There's a lesson there, I reckon, if people are willing to learn and heed it.

That's exactly right, it's why the prospective EU membership is so important to them. Capitalism is the the ticket to a more prosperous society. Zelensky even had an episode about this when he was an actor.

It's very cynical but to keep domestic dissent down there's evidence that Russia is putting more ethnic minority units on the front lines. That way parents in St Petersburg and Moscow will have fewer dead kids. Putin fears unhappiness there a lot more than some bumpkin Kazakh town out beyond the Urals.
