....... and I'm waiting for Mitch to take The Chairman aside, put his arm around him and tell him he might as well resign now and take his lib supporters in Congress with him. His plans to enact a socialist agenda are dead.
Well, I can dream.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
Biden's vaccine mandate for large businesses has been permanently enjoined by SCOTUS. The usual lib suspect jurists dissented. Fuck them. Once again, the law prevails. We're going to be fine.
A very newsy afternoon. The Supreme Court also refused to block the other mandate, the one for medical workers. Roberts and Kav joined the liberals on that one.
DOJ has charged Stewart Rhodes, leader of the Oath Keepers, and 10 others with Seditious Conspiracy for events on Jan. 6 (a charge that can actually lead to more prison time than Insurrection, heh). Most of them had already been arrested on smaller charges. Seditious Conspiracy is a complicated charge and takes a while to build a case generally. Lots of people were saying be patient, the smaller fish get arrested and charged first...but others went the conspiracy route and claimed that the fact that Rhodes hadn't been arrested yet was "proof" the FBI was behind everything.

Of course they did.
And to think you guys spent all of your heavy artillery on Kavanaugh.

If you haven't been paying attention to British politics, Boris Johnson has been getting hit with one scandal after another and the latest is a series of parties he hosted at the PM's residence while the country was in covid lockdown.
Now there's THIS one where the PM allegedly held two boozy parties the night before Prince Philip's funeral (which he did not attend). The Queen basically sat alone at her husband's funeral because of covid restrictions while Boris partied and lived it up.
2/3 of the country say he should resign. And that was BEFORE this latest story. Polls show the Tories to be at their lowest approval numbers in a very long time and Boris is facing a LOT of anger amongst his own
Travis County, Texas says they are rejecting around 50% of applications sent in to vote by mail. Under the new Texas laws, people who want to vote by mail must now include on the application either their Driver License # or the last 4 digits of their SS number
You may be thinking, that's easy! How are that many messing up? Fraud!
The trick is that you MUST submit the same number of the two that you used when you first registered to vote. Which might be decades ago. You are not told which one you previously used. Submit the wrong one, you are denied. People are guessing and considering it's a 50/50 chance...welp...
It's not clear in the new law that anyone at the election bureau is allowed to help you or tell you what you've done wrong.
But he was mean. Like Donald Trump tweet mean. And after all...we have learned with Chairman Poopypants...being inept and nice is better than being effective but mean.
Moving my political response off the CFB board over here. LOL that Trump was "effective". He had no significant legislative victories after the tax cuts, coasted for a while, and finally the luck ran out in Year 4. Joe is incompetent too but he started office with a mess. Trump did not.
Trump couldn't repeal Obamacare. Couldn't get ANY infrastructure bill done. He agreed to an immigration bill then broke his word when conservative media showered him with abuse. He walked away with nothing. In late 2018 he shut down the government because he demanded more money for his Border Wall. Then reopened the govt 35 days later after accepting a LOWER amount than the Democrats had originally offered him. That was the period where Schumer tricked him to saying ON LIVE TV to take all responsibility for the shutdown. Imagine getting fucking tricked and punked by Chuck Schumer. SAD, PRESIDENT DEALS! In 2019 he achieved nothing. Basically sat in his dining room off the oval office eating McDonald's, watching tv, and ranting about the media and Robert Mueller. In 2020...well...if you think he had a good 2020 you just may be a crashcourse.
