The DNC’s “plans” have almost nothing to do with who’s in the WH. It’s all about controlling the message- via social media, the press and the education. As such, they can control corporations, institutions and voters.

Summoning the spirit of Joseph Goebbels, Reichsminister of Public Enlightenment.
TBF, AA brought the similarities between the dems messaging and Hitler's Third Reich up. I completely agree.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

I have long argued that the National Socialist German Workers Party were socialists, because they were. They weren't Marxists, but their policies were far more socialist than I would want to live under.
It's not accurate to say fascism is a far right-wing ideology. I think the political spectrum is donut shaped, not a straight line, authoritarians make up the top portions of the donut, and they exist on both sides.
To say a leftist can't be a fascist is like saying a black person can't be racist.

Marxists use the power of the state to solely benefit (theoretically) one economic group, the working class
Fascists or Nazis use the power of the state to solely benefit one particular race or ethnic group.
Neither one is remotely libertarian but fascists are extremely conservative culturally. They constantly demand the return of some glorious golden age from the past. Mussolini tried to echo the Roman Empire as much as he possibly could.

It’s also worth noting that the Third Reich’s undoing wasn’t because the Germans caught on to their tricks and booted them out. It came about because they got greedy and picked (unnecessary) fights with the two biggest kids on the block. And even then the most educated and technically advanced citizenry in Europe still kept them around until those kids had obliterated their beloved Fatherland.

The "Socialism" in National Socialism doesn't mean as much as it does in, say, today's Democratic Socialism, but there was still some class warfare rhetoric at work with the Nazis. Their hatred of usury and the Jews is well known, but in general, National Socialists view all financially-related stuff as not being "real" work. That would include venture capitalism, speculative trading, etc.
With that said though, saying "Antifa are the real Nazis" has proven to be a losing strategy.Last edited by Hannibal; November 14, 2021, 05:31 PM.

But really, in the "Was Hitler left-wing or right-wing" debate I think you can look at who he allied with. Overwhelmingly conservative elements of society like Hindenberg, Ludendorf, the Prussian military elite, Franz von Papen, Kurt von Schleicher and many others. All of whom thought they could use Hitler for their own agendas but failed.Last edited by Dr. Strangelove; November 14, 2021, 05:59 PM.

Yeah the Nazis weren't Left Wing. Saying otherwise is a major losing argument and intellectually dishonest.
Hindenberg was essentially like one of today's Republicans. Part of a completely inept Center Right that didn't want the Bolsheviks to take over but wasn't willing to do anything to stop them. .

Nazism had a racial component but fascism doesn't require benefit one racial group over another, it's not the definition of fascism.Last edited by Kapture1; November 15, 2021, 10:11 AM.
