I've heard Minneapolis is far left. Can't confirm.
Not even close to indicative of what is viewed on a national level.

The Trump country base did show up to the polls ... that's true. At the same time, Youngkin significantly appealed to centralist (lean D, independent, lean R) voters that clearly lead to his 2 point victory. I wouldn't be taking credit for that, DJT, but nothing surprising.
Questions for Rs is ... do you consider Youngkin in 2024 because that ticket appears to be a clear winner.AAL 2023 - Alim McNeill

Youngkin got the sensible people in the middle to vote for him more than McAuliffe did. McAuliffe made the same mistake Trump made. He alienated those voters, with his stupid statement that "parents have no right to say how their kids are taught in school" The centrist voters pushed Youngkin over the top."in order to lead America you must love America"

It's wasn't a stupid statement. It was a stupid moment of telling the truth. That is the honest Democrat attitude. That you should have no say about whether Far Left ideologues indoctrinate your kids with all kinds of quasi-religious tripe is very clearly the mainstream Dem position. That is why showing up at a school board meeting to protest X-rated books in the library or CRT gets you on the FBI watch list.Last edited by Hannibal; November 3, 2021, 10:06 AM.

Fox was showing clips of what was going on over at MSNBC last night. According to them, everyone who voted for Youngkin is "dangerous for the country".
Do these people even listen to what they themselves are saying? They demonized everyone who voted for the man, when in fact, people from all political walks of life voted for the man. These weren't all "proud boys" or "neo-nazi's". These were average Virginians who saw a huge difference between the men, and how they viewed personal freedoms.
I don't know how that network even exists."in order to lead America you must love America"

Cody- The Republicans have a pretty easy path to power in 2022 and 2024 except for the Donald Trump problem. Youngkin did a good job maintaining the balance between not alienating the true MAGA heads while also appealing enough to centrists in the burbs.
Trump will not tolerate every Republican doing that in 2022 and 2024. He's already showing signs of irritation about Youngkin. At some point he WILL demand that Republicans embrace him and defend him and support his audit/election bullshit. And he will target those he feels pose a threat to his potential 2024 run. Roger Stone has attacked Ron DeSantis multiple times in the past week, even giving an interview to a Florida paper where he demands DeSantis endorse Trump for President in 2024. I do not believe Stone is doing this on his own without Trump's approval or knowledge.
Roger Stone, Trump’s longtime ally and confidante, says Gov. Ron DeSantis must audit the 2020 election in Florida — or Stone himself could run to become Florida’s governor. He say…
