It’s almost like reading the ACLU ten years ago on pandemic responses and reading them now.

It’s pretty well-established government CAN mandate vaccines as a precondition to entry into government spaces, like schools. It’s a policy choice that, among other things, hinges on the severity of the disease at issue and overall effectiveness of the vaccine. I’m sure Domenench was talking about measles or polio or something like that. But, you obviously knew that, but no fucks or thought given, right.

It’s like me saying ha — you’re AGAINST mandating flu vaccinations and FOR COVID mandates!!! Hypocrite!!!!!

But, you knew that.

Meanwhile, over 75% of all Americans over 12 have been vaccinated. And we’re in the midst of a surge (mostly amongst the unvaccinated). So, (1) a shitload of people have been vaccinated; (2) COVID carries on; and (3) the unvaccinated are at risk. Seems right.

At some point we’re going to accept that COVID is here to stay and just get on with things. And folks who are vaccinated will get on with things at a negligible risk.

COVID zero ain’t happening.

Interestingly, Israel is having a huge surge in cases. Despite being vaccinated out the ass. Again, this is a fact that goes into a policy decision.

Lots of folks angry about Chairman Joe's order today. But, their anger is in vain. The order is going to be issued, and enforced. Nancy and Chuck will protect the Chairman and make sure there is no challenge allowed from Congress. Only chance this is overcome is if it somehow finds its way to the USSC, and with Roberts sitting there, he's likely to back Joe.
