Buried in this article the AP says the US has quietly performed a few helicopter rescues outside the airport the past couple days. Only about a 100 people picked up this way, all done by special forces.

Liney, the clusterfuck of epic proportions evac is owned by Biden. But what do you think was going to happen if Trump won a second term? His Feb 2020 deal effectively surrendered the country to the Taliban. His original deal had us leaving by May 1. Up until recently, when it suddenly looked like rushing things wasn’t a good idea, Trump was attacking Biden for not leaving fast enough. Trump and his pet gargoyle Stephen Miller basically eliminated the refugee program which might’ve helped process people faster.
