I predicted he'd be gone before October. I'm thinking that's still possible.

I've given up on Trump being reinstated. I'm leading the movement to have Dan Quayle installed as President. I think my chances are better with him than they are with Trump.
And if you guys think that Chairman Joe's cognitive issues are no big deal, well, good for you. I think everyone else can see there's a problem there, and its not political."in order to lead America you must love America"

I don't think I've made a post in here since inauguration day that champions Mr. Trump in here. In fact, I think I've been somewhat critical of him and his tactics. And, I don't buy his vast nation wide voter fraud arguments. But, you've shown that you don't care about the truth of what I believe, so I'll leave you to believe whatever you want.
Mr Biden has cognitive issues. If he or his handlers ever allow an independent examination of his cognitive abilities, I think there's a good chance he fails. That's not a good thing. I've lost two close members of my family to Alzheimers and dementia in the past 3 years, and I don't joke about that stuff. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I don't wish it on Mr. Biden.
Given the choice of the two, which is the only choice we have, I'd prefer that Mr. Biden make it thru his first term, rather than hand off to Giggles Kamala. That woman is probably the least qualified Democrat in the country, to be President. I'd even prefer Hillary over her.

My friend, I think you've let politics shade your opinion. You yourself are an unrushed and deliberative speaker. No one has challenged you as having cognitive difficulties. Remember that for his whole career, Biden has been a verbal gaffe machine. In every speech I've seen during this presidency, Biden has made a conscious (excessive?) and cautious effort to appear calm, thoughtful, and reasonable. Contrasting that to the uncontrolled, idiotic bombast of his predecessor, I'll give you that Biden can seem forced and slow. That certainly is no indication of any cognitive difficulties. You don't find it ironic to have supported a pathological liar clearly debilitated by mental illness (Narcissistic Personality Disorder)?
As I said in 2016, there is/was only one person ON THE PLANET worse than Hillary Clinton, and that anti-American piece of shit beat her. So be careful what you wish for when it comes to Kamala, the fates can be pretty cruel. I too would not vote for Harris pretty much under any circumstance. If it comes down to Harris vs Trump in 2024, I'll be voting for Dick Hodgeman (again). I'd like to say that the primary voters are smarter than that, but all one has to do is look at the '16 GOP clown show to shoot that argument down.
Until a significant portion of the electorate chooses not to allow politics to be an identity ("I will never vote for someone in the X party") we're doomed to this shit over and over again.Last edited by Ghengis Jon; July 13, 2021, 03:35 AM.“Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend. If Biden is really, really, really, TRYING not make gaffes, then holy fuckballs, it's worse than I thought. We all know what posters here and folks on the Left would do with DJT if he made gaffes like Biden or couldn't walk up stairs. In fact, we watched it and have a documented record. I personally find it hugely ironic for any of the shrill voices who did that to comeback and defend Chairman Joe as just fine.
My own personal opinion is that PDJT was perfectly fine health-wise and Chairman Joe is probably fine, though I think he's showing signs of being in his late 70s. Then again, I'm perfectly capable of making a rational assessment because I actually vote for both parties.
My original point -- which is the key one -- is that Harris is a total amatuer and, honestly, a shitshow of a politician. She's horrific. I'd rather have a comatose Chairman Joe than that. But, I think it's more likely than not that Chairman Joe calls it a day in 2024, and I do think that Harris will be the frontrunner for the nomination in 2024.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Meanwhile, godspeed to those Cubans trying to rid themselves of REAL tyranny. It won't end well for them, but at least they're actually giving it a go. I'm sure AOC and the other self-proclaimed Democractic Socialists are mortified at the dissent.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

Democrats in Texas again flee the capital to prevent a quorom for a vote on changes and updates to Texas voting laws. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/texas-d...revent-quorum/
I'm sure The Media will have gaggles of stories about how this move is "profoundly undemocratic" or is an otherwise an act that will surely destory our country. LOL.Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?

I don't see other Dems standing aside and letting Harris have that nomination easily and after the public gets to view her in action she'll rapidly fade just like she did the last time.
For the Republicans in 2024 I stand by my prediction that the nomination is Trump's if he wants it. DeSantis is the only Republican right now I could see beating Trump but even if he did, there's enough people in Trump's base that harbor resentments on his behalf that they could very well sit at home in November like they did for the Georgia Specials. I think DeSantis is too savvy to run directly against Trump and since he's still only 42, can easily afford to do two terms as Governor and wait to run in 2028 instead.
The only problem is Trump may wait until very, very late in the game before declaring if he's officially a candidate or not. He has a lot of incentives to do rallies and raise money without actually declaring his candidacy for as long as possible.

Inflation beat expectations again, which isn't good, but I'm sticking with my expectation that it'll start trending downwards sometime this year. Maybe in another couple months. Except for oil commodity prices have broadly been trending downwards. It takes time for that to show up in consumer prices. And the 10 year yield hasn't budged. In fact, it's gone the opposite direction if inflation was accelerating. I realize the Fed is involved there too, but still...
