  • back from a 2 week road trip

I ran across 2 different resteraunts--an arbys in in KC then a old chicagos in topeka where the cook quit right in the middle and they had to shut down service. Didnt run across in single fast food place that had inside dining of the 4-5 we hit in nevada, AZ bnor kansas

yet when we got to vegas it was hopping. The streets were full the aroma of POT was EVERYWHERE. The locals said things have been popping since the new round of stimulus checks. It was Amazing the lack of diversity on the streets --literally from in front of caesars to in front of tropican it was a mile of pot/rap and BLM. we stayed at the wynn and the staff there said Joes money was going to good causes in LV. the raiders stadium was pretty cool to look at all black and right across 15 from the south end of the strip

working out in the gym at the wynn i got propositioned by a 35ish korean girl who looked like a goddess. 500 bucks an hour for a different kind of stimulus

nice to see talent and wiz getting a cake

czech is in the male talent

first day back at work and run into a guy who contracts from the govt to patrol az/Nm border. says pregant 14/15 yo coming over in droves--cartel across the borders occupying all the oice agents into babysitters to get there product across other locations not guarded so ICe and border patrol cant cover anything beyond the high profile areas. he gives what he call red cross packets leaving them in locations where a lot of the younbg uimmigrants are crossing knowing they are essentally on their own crossing into US. the isolated locations of the obrder thery are still flooding across and nobody here to stop them . detain them nor take care of them

anyway nice vacation now back to reality

You are a fucking moron Geezer. (I thought you were dead. Of course, following your own advice might get you to that point.)
We both should probably be dead, Stan. But we serve a purpose here, you with your Hard Left vitriol and me with sage advice to the youngsters.

Every time I say anything negative about your posting, I get a lot of blowback from posters here who have met you. You must have some redeeming social value that I fail to see. So I'll take the forum's advice and say:

                • Not much to post on COVID. You have to be living under a rock to not know that in the US and other countries that had their shit together with a vaccine roll-out, vaccines are gold, US states and the media reporting on this have followed a very typical pattern: As vaccines were administered, as expected, deaths and hospitalizations dropped. But wait the MSM would declare ..... variants. Reopening is happening too quickly, a 4th wave will emerge. It didn't. That got little press. State's continued to experience huge drops in daily new case numbers and importantly % positivity. In Broward Co., where I live, by the usual metrics, the virus isn't circulating here ..... that too get's little press.

Mayors and County Commissioners relax mitigation measures, the MSM say's again, failing to learn from it's bone-headed, fear monkey BS before, that its too early ....... important metrics continue to decline demonstrating the unmitigated success of vaccines and the idiocy of most reporting on it as well as that of the CDC ..... but wait, the MSM declares, there isn't enough vaccines being administered and besides that the disparities between (name particular groups of your choice) is unfair and unjust, not equitable. TBH, who gives a fuck. The pandemic is getting beaten back by vaccines.

Here in S Fl, we're pretty much back to 100% pre-pandemic normal. There are pockets of viral spread but nothing ever seems to come of it. Why? Even at 50% vaccination rates, transmission is significantly reduced. But, but, we'll never reach heard immunity is the next MSM fear monkey trope. That's right, we wont and it doesn't matter if a rational view of the path forward for the SARS2 pandemic is taken by PH officials at all levels. It's emerging but it hasn't taken hold fully just yet ...... it is going to be a long time before Americans abandon irrational COVID fears, stoked by irrefutably terrible policy guidance and messaging from the CDC augmented by the MSM, and start acting rationally.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

But this is where the schadenfreude starts to get really entertaining.

Stan knows better than to ignore having some roughage in his diet, .. and he always forgets the prune juice. Gentle reminders usually get him back on track.

The results -- a pestilence of mice. It's like the inverse of that Dr. Seuss book. There is now a massive shortage of traps, baits, and poisons.

Police responded to reports of gunfire Tuesday near the place where George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer one year ago.

One person was transferred to Hennepin County Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury after arriving at Abbott Northwestern Hospital with a gunshot wound, police said. CNN has contacted the medical center for additional information.

Photos from the scene showed a bullet casing on the ground in the area, and a man boarding up a shattered window at a barber shop after shots were fired.Events honoring Floyd are currently taking place at The Commons, a park in Minneapolis about 3.5 miles away from the reports of gunfire. The George Floyd Global Memorial's "Rise and Remember George Floyd" celebration is planned later Tuesday at the intersection in front of Cup Foods where Floyd died. The celebration ends with a candlelight vigil in George Floyd Square on Tuesday evening.George Floyd Square, the intersection of Chicago Avenue and 38th Street, where Floyd took his last breaths as a police officer knelt on his neck, has become a makeshift shrine that represents peace, justice and healing for many residents.

Former officer Derek Chauvin, 45, was convicted in April of second-degree unintentional murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter.
The verdict came about 11 months after bystander video showed Chauvin impassively kneeling on the neck and back of Floyd, handcuffed and lying prone on the street, for 9 minutes and 29 seconds on May 25, 2020.Under the officer's knees, the 46-year-old Black man gasped for air, repeatedly exclaimed "I can't breathe" and ultimately went silent.

On the day of the verdict, people gathered for hours outside the Cup Foods store where Floyd died, letting out cries of joy and sighs of relief into the night.
