Ted Cruz only helps Ted Cruz. Believe that's why his Senate colleagues despise him. Establishment Republicans might even run someone against him in two years when he's up for reelection.

He should be held up as an example of how political power can turn people into pompous, holier-than-thou, power drunk, pandering, self-righteous, intolerant, extremists. I realize that using him as an example to scare children is probably borderline child abuse, but I think it can be done without inflicting serious psychological scars.
"Have an open mind. You sound like Ted Cruz."
"That's it! You're grounded and have to watch Ted Cruz speeches for the rest of the week."

Cruz will probably stay really popular in the state of Texas and serve about four more terms in the Senate. He'll be one of those guys. But in the last couple of months he has trashed any chance that he had of being a future President, VP, or Supreme Court justice.

The ideology of Cruz lends itself to burning bridges. If you are never willing to compromise because to are always taking a stand, you will never get anything passed in the legislature and you won't expand your support. Basically he is the answer to the claim that they need to be more conservative to win an election. I didn't make sense then, it doesn't make sense now.
He ran a much better funded and organized version of the Rick Santorum 2012 campaign.

Some people don't know when to quit and just like getting beat to death. I give you John Kasich.... Who has won 1 state his own Ohio. Posted a video to his Twitter this morning on Star Wars Day, imagining what the not-so-distant future could look like in a galaxy not-so-far away.
"2017," the screen flashes, as the theme song to "Star Wars" plays and the familiar fading title scroll begins. "GOP I'M YOUR "OUR ONLY HOPE"
Marco Rubio, who dropped out of the race 6 weeks ago has more delegates than Kasich
Quitters never win, but they still beat John Kasich.

Pricing for solar power continues to plunge to new record lows: 2.99 cents a kilowatt hour in Dubai. Cheaper than coal. Sounds like it's actually decoupling from costs, though, and companies are chasing market share instead of profits. http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articl...d-set-in-dubai
