It didn’t have to be Joe Biden’s DOJ for it to be a witch hunt. The DOJ aggressively targeted Michael Flynn and Roger Stone during Trump’s time and also got Julian Assange extradited for good measure.

With that said, this doesn’t strike me as a political targeting. But for what it’s worth, he has said that the investigation is part of a huge extortion/frame-up scheme by a corrupt DOJ official.
