A new video angle shows Ashli Babbitt's final moments. She was shot while climbing through some sort of aperture. She was neither brandishing a weapon nor threatening anyone. She was not putting anyone in danger. You can't even see anyone on the other side of the door, so it's possible that a cop shot her from behind.

Anyhow, unlike Michael Brown, she was not shot trying to grab a cop's service weapon. Unlike the guy in Atlanta, she was not shot after a struggle in which she stole and fired a taser at the officers. Unlike George Floyd, she did not die of a fentanyl-induced heart attack. Unlike Ahmaud Arbery, she wasn't shot while trying to grab somebody's shotgun while out "'jogging". Unlike Breonna Taylor, she was not caught in the crossfire of a gunfight started by her lowlife drug dealing boyfriend.

In other words, unlike all of the illegitimate martyrs of BLM, she was given a death sentence for a minor offense.

You all watch the video for yourselves and decide whether it's legitimate use of force. Watch it soon, because it probably won't be up for long.

The picture below was previously assumed to be the aftermath of the shooting, but they aren't.. The guys in the picture didn't shoot anyone.

No he didn't. Watch the video above showing the additional angle of the shot. The shooter wasn't in anything remotely resembling danger, nor was anyone else on the other side of the doorway.

The shooter carried out a death sentence on her, plain and simple.

I always side with the evidence. It just so happens that "unarmed" black men shot by cops are almost never actually unarmed, and "vigilante" killings are almost always legitimate self defense.

At any rate, if you think that Ashli Babbitt got what she deserved, then I'll take that as your endorsement for the police departments in Portland, Minneapolis, etc to bring out the machine guns and begin mowing down rioters by the dozen during the next period of civil unrest.

You are wrong about every one of your examples. Every person of color was a thug that deserved it. A man gets shot for jogging through the wrong neighborhood and you defend it. The Nun who climbed through the window was a pure and innocent as the driven snow.

Her death was tragic, we need more de-escalation tactics all across the board.

Again you should be waiting for all the facts to come out. For me the problem is the security were wholly unprepared, it was a predictable problem.

Couple things about where Babbit was when she got shot. She was climbing through the doorway into the Speaker's Lobby. Despite it being called that, it doesn't lead to Pelosi's office. It's called that because it's just off the House Chamber and is sort of a little museum to past Speakers. It's directly behind the giant podium everyone can see on tv

The man who shot her appears to be standing in the doorway of the first entrance into the House chamber where members were reportedly still sheltering in place.
