Emails show a Top HHS political appointee consistently pushed herd immunity and suggested deliberately exposing children and the young as a way of getting the pandemic over faster. Insisted that reports be watered down or buried because, despite admitting they were accurate, they were also politically damaging to Trump. Alexander was Michael Caputo's top aide and considered a direct line to the White House at HHS. He was fired right around the same time Caputo left in September. These emails were not handed over to the House (after several months of delays) until after the election.
