  • Trump campaign paid $3M for a recount of just two Wisconsin Counties. Well, Milwaukee County has finished and Joe Biden actually added 132 votes to his lead.

President-elect Joe Biden received a net increase of 132 votes in his margin of victory over President Donald Trump as a result of the Milwaukee County recount.

              • This is becoming tiresome. I thought we were getting a break from the press beating us up with COVID numbers but, nope. Now that reporting on the Trump fantasy of reversing election results has burned up it's own news cycle, we're back to COVID.

What becomes misleading is aggregating new case numbers. Reading these numbers at face is discouraging. The math - exponential growth - makes this so. What doesn't get fleshed out is that while aggregate numbers of new cases per day and the total number of aggregate cases are high and getting higher, that there is much, much less disease burden is entirely ignored. The vast majority of those infected continue to experience mild symptoms. CFR continues to remain stable or, in most states, is dropping because of improved care. Yes, hospitalizations are up but, where I can get access to the numbers, in FL for example, length of stay is decreasing ...... I expect that trend holds nation wide with possible exceptions in rural areas. Here, though, seriously ill patient's get transferred to hospitals with higher levels of care. I would imagine that while there are isolated exceptions, the actual data would not support that there are widespread shortages of equipment, medications or staff. That's what a worn out ICU nurse or doctor featured in a vidoe shows and that's the media's meme. These visuals makes it difficult for one to step away from the media generated discouraging COVID narrative.

In FL, the Sun Sentinel's drumbeat of new case numbers continues without regard to FL's R(t) value being less than 1.0. This sort of comparison between R(t) values and new case number's, when considered in the context of large numbers of tests, suggests that the rise is mostly attributable to a sharp rise in testing. The day before Thanksgiving, FL conducted more tests than in any previous day and aggregate results were reported publicly on Friday or yesterday. Of course there was a jump in new cases along with the huge increase in testing over those two days. In this same three day period, the death rate/100K population was 0.348 and stable for the last month at that rate yet the headline in Sunday's paper?

The positivity rate jumped 15% from 6.18% on Friday's report to 7.14% on Saturday's, and new cases lifted the state’s total to 985,297, according to the Florida Department of Health. The total death toll including residents and non-residents is now 18,677.

I suspect this kind of misleading reporting is wide spread nationally and it's no wonder you are probably worried about venturing out. Should you be worried? Probably not to the extent that the headlines suggest. Assess your own risks using available tools to do that. Take precautions as usual when out and about.

Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                  • Good example of Levin being dishonest and leaping immediately to smears instead of discussing the merits of the actual case. He wants his listeners left with the impression that this case was rock-solid and an 'obvious' decision.

                    1) Blasts the "Democrat majority" on the PA Supreme Court without mentioning that even the Republicans on the court made it clear they in no circumstances were prepared to declare all mail-in ballots invalid.

                    2) He claims that the court has "stolen" the state legislature's power to run the election system. But the law plaintiffs were seeking to overturn was written by the Republican majority-legislature!!

                    3) Finding against Plaintiffs in this case is extremely easy only using the principle of laches. In fact that's just about the only thing the majority opinion discusses. The time for getting a court to overturn an election law you think is unconstitutional is long past. This law was written and passed (BY REPUBLICANS) 13 months ago. Why did Mike Kelly and Sean Parnell and the other Republicans wait till 3 weeks after the election to file this suit if they felt it the law was unconstitutional on its face?

That means 223-212 and the R are only +11 for the election. Of course, DSL and the Cook Report predicted D +15, so I guess that's not bad. Still, the Biden Mandate is in full effect!

                              That's not going to happen.

Dems and the MSM will still be blaming Trump years from now, when The Party is being torn apart from within by the various factions demanding 'a seat at the table'. MSM will blame Trump for the 'political climate' in the country and say that this would have never happened without his hateful actions.

About the only thing that Joe can hope for now is that the R's hang on to the Georgia senate seats. That will give him a firewall to blame for when the more radical crap from the House fails to get to his desk. If the D's win both of those seats, he's in big trouble.

With an R Senate majority, McConnell could actually become one of Joe's best allies behind the scenes.
