Cubans are an outlier that don't match that pattern in any other state. They are the only large scale Hispanic demographic that predates Hart-Cellar.

    • North Carolina is another demographically changing state. With 2010 demographics that one would be called for Trump by now.

George W Bush and Rick Perry both routinely won about 40% of the Hispanic vote while Governors of Texas. And that's with most Hispanics there being of Mexican heritage. And polls show Hispanic men could be 50-50!

Maybe if you don't treat Hispanics as an invasive species, hey, Republicans can actually do well with them.

Yeah, because it's attractive to college-educated white folks. Who will move down, flip the state and trash all the policies and governance that made it so attractive in the first place.

Losing 60% of a demographic is doing "well". Gotcha. And Bush won that great 40% number by pandering to them and opening up the borders. Any minute now, those "natural Conservatives" are going to start voting Republican to overturn Roe v. Wade amirite?

Increase your share of a demographic that you never win by doubling the future number of that demographic who is able to vote. Great strategy for Republicans! Now you know why Republican voters think that their strategists are drooling morons.

Fun fact -- Bush Sr. won a lower percentage of Hispanics than Reagan, two years after the Simpson-Mazzoli amnesty. So much for Hispanic voters being natural Conservatives and rewarding Republicans for pandering to them.

            • Trump randomly picked up votes in Michigan in the last hour. Read that Michigan was basically tied an hour ago (see Tweet below).
              Now it's 2,437,136 Trump to 2,412,798 Biden. +25k Trump.

Not saying Trump has a chance in Michigan (sounds like he doesn't), but thought Biden would pull away since reading about the tie.

              • Well if you want something puzzle over, at the same time Florida elected Trump by a wide margin they also passed a CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT (60% support) raising the minimum wage to $15 over the next 6 years.

                  • Trump has won Zapata County — just north of the Rio Grande Valley along the border — by 6 points, 53% to 47%, per SOS results. Last two presidential elections there were Clinton +33 and Obama +43.

85% Hispanic. Low population, of course.

Wisconsin seems heading toward a recount. The best case to avoid shenanigans is a non-recount win for Biden in Wisconsin and M.

Pennsylvania is irredeemably fucked. I don't care who wins that state, it's fucked. If it comes down to Pennsylvania, we're fucked.

Biden ahead again by only 3k.

                        • Biden has finally pulled ahead in M by 3000 votes. It'll be close, but Biden is going to win M.
