As soon as she was out of office and Gov Rick "One Tough Nerd" Snyder was in office--- the film incentives were gone. Which largely killed the film infrastructure and a lot of businesses that fed off the film industry growth. Snyder's justification was it was not the state's job to pick winners and losers. He then went to pick winners and losers. For the majority of his time in office he refused to stand up to the legislature with one notable exception. That was helping Detroit through its bankruptcy and making crafting the Grand Bargain that allowed the DIA to keep its doors open.
I will give him a lot of credit on that, because many in the legislature wanted to have the DIA close its doors or start selling off their artwork to pay the bills.
However, he is responsible (you can argue how much) for the Flint Water disaster (there are still quite a few homes that have lead issues in the water to this day).
