  • I don’t think so, unless Biden does it. His and Trump’s split wasn’t amicable.

    • Speaking of Trumpsters, this is beyond weird even by Trumpster standards.

Although a true statement, Trump never said it.

                  • Yep, you're right. It's a cobbling of out of context quotes and an image from the Oprah show. My bad, shoulda checked first.

                        • It also worked amazingly well in S. FL where the history of balloting fuck-ups is unprecedented. I ordered my mail in ballots for the primary and general election in June, received the primary ballot about two weeks later. Then I researched all the picks I had for a non-paritson ballot (gives me voting access to some I would not get if I registered as an R) and filled out the ballot.

Early voting occured on August 11th and polls opened at 11am. I went to one of probably 5 polling places available to me around 1pm. There were only a few people there. I DROPPED MY BALLOT INTO AN EASILY RECOGNIZABLE CONTAINER THAT I WAS DIRECTED TO WHEN I APPROACHED AND ASKED. Done in about 30 seconds. I could have gone in and voted manually as there were plenty of socially distanced voting booths available, few people and everyone with masks.

After the votes were counted over the evening about a week later - on the official primary day - only one office was too close to call and required a recount. Supervisor of elections was recounted and a run-off directed. News reports were effusive over how well the primary went and noted few people voted in person on the allotted day. Most mailed in ballots, voted early in person, or like me, dropped their ballots off in official containers. Absentee ballots apparently were received and counted on time. The USPS's role was praised. No hic-ups whatsoever and if there were any with the USPS, the press would have been all over it.

IOW, voting in all it's forms went off without a hitch in previously voting plagued S. FL.

Mild applause and a big finger to those questioning the USPS , mail or drop in balloting.

                          We got this.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                          • Trump and his allies have been idiotically setting the expectations so low for Biden’s speech that he sounds like fucking Churchill compared with what they promised voters he’d sound like.

                            • I expect nothing from the shitclowns on Fox like Tucker, Laura, or Hannity, but the more objective people gave it high reviews. Chris Wallace, Karl Rove, Brit Hume all gave it good grades. Dana Perino called it a 9th inning homerun

                              • I hope the USPS never goes away. It is one govt run program I don't even care losses tons of money. I just think it is too important. I still use it. I'm still one of those weirdos who send Christmas cards and a hand written letter.Still like to wave at the mail lady stopping six days a week 90% of my bills and business gets done online but not everything..

That said, it has absolutely sucked this year. I have had packages lost and misdelivered, Had two get lost between the Allen Park sorting center and my town (less than 100 miles away) for over a month.. My township tax payment took ten days to get delivered and it is in walking distance. I usually pay in person but they only open for a couple hours a month and I couldn't make it. Maybe it is just a recent regional problem but no way in hell I trust anything gets delivered properly that I give a shit about. Between a possible late delivery or being disqualified because I don't sign my name exactly the same every time, you can bet I will be there with mask on in person casting my worthless vote.
