  • Heh, so none of these people have been arrested with Bannon, but look at who else is associated with the We Build the Wall grifting scheme

Our old buddy Kris Kobach serves as General Counsel...lol...(should have hired a better lawyer, Steve). Erik Prince, Curt Schilling, and Sheriff David Clarke are all on the board...

We're almost at the traditional cutoff (Aug 31) for when DOJ stops announcing anything that might be politically charged before an election. Although Barr has refused to commit to that standard with regards to the Durham investigation. As some might recall, a month ago Bill Barr/Trump abruptly fired SDNY's US Attorney and tried to ensconce a close ally instead. Who would have overseen this case had the scheme worked.

Per the Government Accountability Office (GAO), during a single month in 2017, US taxpayers footed a $13 million bill for four trips to Trump Organization golf clubs, including $60,000 just for rooms and space at their Palm Beach resort. The overall figure also includes thousands for food and lodging for Secret Service agents.

Federal agencies have paid about $130 million for the President to play golf.

Not included in those figures are the reimbursements being made to local authorities for security. For example, Palm Beach received $13.8 million for their efforts through spring of 2019.

        • Re: Obama's speaking capabilities:

Obama's speeches were 100% empty platitudes. It's not terribly difficult to look good saying "hope and change". He never sold anyone of Leftist ideology. He was a Saul Alinsky-ite who got into a position of power with "hope and change" and then pushed the Far Leftist agenda via appointments, etc. You see his legacy today in the streets of Portland. His real political skill was subversion and fakery.

To me, the best speakers are guys who are actually communicating their ideas via their speeches. Their beliefs in those ideas are what gives their speeches forcefulness. When people talk about Reagan's ability to connect with the average Joe or John Kennedy's ability to inspire, it's not just speaking skill. They believed 100% in what they were saying and they were aiming to convert people to a cause. The same can be said for Trump's skills with a teleprompter, as evidenced by the fact that his approval rating goes up significantly after each of his State of the Union addresses.

          • lol.

The idea that Portland is being incited by the legacy of Obama is laughable. That town looks on Obama era as a lost opportunity.

Portland has had the deep left roots for decades -- if anything galvanized further left by their views of Obama ending up being too moderate/indiscriminately more brutal in ME.

Unsure if the bit about Trump's skill for public speaking. Biden is obviously on the downward slope -- but, I don't find cognitive refuge in Trump.

Last year the Trump family took more trips that required secret service protection than the Obama family did in 7 years. Every time his very low IQ sons take a trip anywhere in the world trying to get organized crime families to invest in their shitty condos or simply kill some elephants, the US taxpayers are paying for their security.

                  • Re: Obama's self serving ways.

Barack and Michele Obama were not millionaires until roughly 2005. That's when he was collecting royalties on books he had authored.

When Barack and Michele Obama left office in 2017, they had a combined net worth of over 70 million dollars. This, while he was making $400,000 per year in his presidential salary, which he kept.

They served themselves well. They made sure their black lives mattered.

Donald Jr, Ivanka and Eric Trump may be fair political game, but IMO, it would be very uncool for anyone to comment negatively on Barron Trump.

Its never been confirmed, but the boy appears to be autistic to me. And he's under age and has about as much to do with his dad's politics as the Obama kids did.

Barron is excluded from this. He's not one of the ones traveling the world going on big game hunts and pitching timeshares to Saudis

                        • I suppose the Obama's SS travel tab would have been higher had their daughters been adults. I haven't seen anyone griping about Chelsea Clinton's SS escorts, or even the SS escorts afforded to the Bush family. I believe even Reagan's adult children still receive SS protection. I'm not sure, but Caroline Kennedy may still have an SS escort.

But, lets not stop the rampant butt-kissing of Obama here. I'm sure they're worth every penny they "earned" during his presidency.
