Please support the Forum by using the Amazon Link this Holiday Season

Amazon has started their Black Friday sales and there are some great deals to be had! As you shop this holiday season, please consider using the forum's Amazon.com link (listed in the menu as "Amazon Link") to add items to your cart and purchase them. The forum gets a small commission from every item sold.

Additionally, the forum gets a "bounty" for various offers at Amazon.com. For instance, if you sign up for a 30 day free trial of Amazon Prime, the forum will earn $3. Same if you buy a Prime membership for someone else as a gift! Trying out or purchasing an Audible membership will earn the forum a few bucks. And creating an Amazon Business account will send a $15 commission our way.

If you have an Amazon Echo, you need a free trial of Amazon Music!! We will earn $3 and it's free to you!

Your personal information is completely private, I only get a list of items that were ordered/shipped via the link, no names or locations or anything. This does not cost you anything extra and it helps offset the operating costs of this forum, which include our hosting fees and the yearly registration and licensing fees.

Stay safe and well and thank you for your participation in the Forum and for your support!! --Deborah

Not like anybody could admit that in public..
to be fair, it's far more than a billboard, and the money was already spent.

      • A small retreat for McConnell. Each side will get 3 days/8 hours instead of the 2 days/12 hours originally announced. Maybe got pushback from some of his old fart colleagues not thrilled about sitting there till 1 AM? But that means question round presumably won't start till next Wednesday. Maybe sooner if Team Trump doesn't use its full time (I assume the House is going to)

EDIT: Also the House's evidence will now be automatically entered "without objection". Previously to even admit the evidence was going to require a vote.

          • LOL- 53,000 US sailors and Marines were killed in WWII. There's got to be enough social injustice among them to keep Newport News busy until the sun burns out.

            • The Commerce Dept is refusing to turn over to a Congress a long-secret report that supposedly details the "national security threat" of imported autos. My guess is the report is enormously unpersuasive and the Admin doesn't want Congress to know that.

Already seeing lots of jokes that the Trumps are all furiously scrolling through their old texts trying to remember if MBS ever sent them any weird video files

                    • Trump's personal legal team is arguing a defense that's completely contradictory to what the DOJ is arguing in courts. This has previously been pointed but really driven home today

Sekulow complains that the House Democrats, in their rush to convict, declined to follow the proper course and pursue their disputes with the executive branch in the courts.

Meanwhile, in the actual court cases, the Trump DOJ has repeatedly argued that the courts have no power of judicial review in this arena and should STAY OUT of any disputes between the legislative and executive branches.
