That's if Saban wants to be nice.

        He's usually not.

        • At glitzy GOP fundraiser in the heart of the Coastal Elites, Devin Nunes dodges questions about his phone calls with Lev Parnas. Eventually, without saying a word, he started filming the reporters. Then had them thrown out of the event. The reporter noticed that he was followed for a block outside even after being thrown out.

At a GOP fundraiser where donors gave a minimum of $15,000 to attend, Nunes became uncomfortable when The Intercept asked about his alleged calls to Parnas.

          • Giuliani tried to get the Ambassador to Qatar replaced, more evidence that he has played a more extensive shadow foreign policy role than previously known. His "security firm" has contracts and networks in Qatar.

Bill Barr has (reportedly) warned Trump on a number of occasions that Giuliani is a liability and is not serving him well.

That is a Nunes staple, having people followed.

Nunes also has nuisance defamation lawsuits filed against CNN, Twitter, Hearst newspapers, McClatchy newspapers, several individual reporters, a fake Twitter account, and I'm sure he'll be adding more. At least one of the individual reporter is being sued for damages of $400 million.

I would love to know who is bankrolling all of Nunes' frivolous suits.

                • The Washington Post fought in court for three years to gain access to this material: a massive trove of documents and interviews showing that for years and years under Bush & Obama the military and other government officials were lying to the public about the War in Afghanistan.

EDIT: One of the specifics in this is a senior National Security Council official who says that the Obama White House and Pentagon constantly pressured the on-the-ground folks to provide numbers that would show the Troop surge of 2009-2011 was working. Believe that would've been around the time that Petraeus was overseeing Afghanistan.

                  • Also, Russia banned from the Summer Olympics and the next World Cup by WADA, if the decision stands. Would probably not mean all Russian athletes would be banned, just that they could not officially 'represent' Russia like at the last Olympics.

                    • Until they outright ban all the athletes, this won't matter. They will just send them and they will represent Russia like nothing was ever done.

                      • Last time they made them go through an independent drug-screening process, didn't they? Like they had to get their eligibility restored? I think they may have banned a handful outright of the worst repeat offenders. A few others refused to take WADA's test out of "principle" (AKA they knew they wouldn't pass it)

                          1) New Zealand volcano has possibly killed dozens of tourists
                          2) WADA anti-Russia decision bans them from international sport for 4 years
                          3) House impeachment hearings enter the endgame
                          4) Putin, Zelensky, Merkel, and Macron are meeting in Paris for Ukraine peace talks
                          5) Huge document dump of Afghanistan documents revealing how much multiple administrations have been lying about it
                          6) DOJ Inspector General report will be released this afternoon and is expected to be 'disappointing' for Trump & the conspiracy crowd
                          7) North Korea is making more noise than it has in nearly two years, did some mysterious test over the weekend, and calls Trump an erratic, sneaky, and thoughtless old man.

                          • The New Zealand volcano tourist deaths is weird. New Zealand straddles one of the most active volcanic regions on earth. You would think that Seismologists would have been monitoring this area and would have been able to advise tourists to stay way. Maybe they did and tour groups or individuals didn't get the word or ignored them. Overall bad.
Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.
