It does when I'm attempting to demonstrate that even the most guilty are allowed to defend themselves.

He isn't as corrupt as possible yet. I wish that he was TBH.

Imagine if he was weaponizing the IRS and the FBI against his political opponents the way that Barack Obama did. Ahhh, a man can dream, can't he?

Anyhow, this pretend outrage over a President using the instruments of state in an unethical manner for political gain is cute. You guys are so adorable.

          • That's a great, great point. Great point. I'm sure being acquitted in the Senate will teach him a lesson he won't soon forget.
Some people just don't have any common sense, or just blinded by hate. He not going to learn shit, he's going to be piss off now, full gangster mode (Talent), I knew this whole impeachment thing would backfire

            He is a narcissist:

All Presidents are, but he's extreme. You really need to look it up.

Nothing is ever his fault, its always the other who did wrong (warranted or not). He expects to be recognized as superior even without achievements that warrant it.

            • Well, I mean, you can't just discard what you think is a principled stand because it won't work. Again, if you think the point of this is to deter PDJT then you're not paying attention to anything he's ever done. If you think this is a necessary step because you just can't ignore it out of principle, then so be it.
Dan Patrick: What was your reaction to [Urban Meyer being hired]?
              Brady Hoke: You know.....not....good.

              • LMAO at "principled stand". The Democrats do not have principles.

Anyhow, this will not result in the removal of Trump. It's a show. Granted, shows are not all bad, but it's ultimately all academic. Love him or hate him, you're stuck with Trump for about 13 more months.

You've only got about 13 months to go then it's back to hating life.

                  • What makes you think I'm enjoying it now? Trump isn't getting shit done. He's a total failure as a President by just about any measure, Conservative, Liberal, Republican, Libertarian, or Democrat. Fucker ain't even smart enough to do ethically questionable shit without getting caught.

Edit -- he got a little bit of good shit done in his first 12 months and his judge appointments have been good, but everything else is either bad policy or Brady Hoke-like ineptitude.

                    • He's still the favorite to win re-election. He's the weakest favorite of any incumbent in a long time, but he is still the favorite. In football terms, he would probably be a -4 favorite.

                      • I am not watching any betting markets, but I don't think that he is the favorite. Granted, polls are completely unreliable at this stage and some of them showed Hillary winning by double digits pretty late in the cycle in 2016, but I really don't see The Donald getting reelected. I don't see the great backlash against Socialism materializing to defeat somebody like Bernie or Warren.

                        • There is a silent majority out there, he will be reelected. Ill bet money on it, unless something really bad ( that can be proven) comes up. He can say whatever he wants and does. His statement I could 'shoot somebody and I wouldn't lose voters is true.

                          • I'm not looking at betting markets.

The national polls were good in 2016. State level polling is bad and it will come down to Wisconsin.

The silent majority of which you speak has been largely overrun by demographic change. Texas was two percentage points away from throwing out a scandal-free Republican Senator last year.

                              • I am not even sure that I want Trump to win next year. Granted, the "Liberal tears" effect would be fun for a day or two, but ultimately, nothing of value will get done. Whatever the result of the election, I'll probably just shrug my shoulders.
