  • Trump has ordered that the National Security Council be substantially shrunk. They say this was all part of the plan anyways and the timing may be coincidental, but 1) Trump thinks the whistle-blower was part of the NSC at one point and 2) Trump thinks there are a lot of Bolton people left who leak things to hurt him.

    • I guess they haven't talked about North Korea much on Fox News recently so Our President is a little out of the loop. He seems really on top of things

              • A second whistle-blower has now come forward. And this one supposedly has first hand knowledge (though that is largely irrelevant to me).

                Mark Zaid tells ABC News that he is now representing a second whistleblower who has spoken with the inspector general.

                • One poll is just one poll, but this FoxNews poll for Trump in Wisconsin is pretty bad for him

                  * Biden 48, Trump 39
                  * Sanders 45, Trump 40
                  * Warren 45, Trump 41
                  * Rural voters in Wisconsin backed Trump by 27 points in 2016. In this poll they backed him by just 2 points
                  * Do tariffs help or hurt the economy? 47% say hurt, 28% say help
                  * Overall 44-55 job approval
                  * He has a -3 approval rating among people with no college degree. That's alos a big swing from what he got in 2016

                  Wisconsin voters are unhappy with how things are going in the country, oppose the border wall, think tariffs hurt the economy, and disapprove of the job President Trump is doing. That gives Democratic candidates the lead in each of the possible 2020 matchups tested in a Fox News Poll of Wisconsin registered voters.

                  • I think this is interesting. One year ago, on October 6th, 2018, the DJIA closed at 26,430.57. On Friday, October 4th, it closed at 26,573.74.

                    Virtually no change through all the global economic turmoil associated with the China-US trade kerfuffle, Iran threatening to shut down the Straights and sending drones and cruise missiles into SA, the NKs threatening nuclear holocaust, the markets, as an indicator of the shape of the global economy, have remained remarkably stable.

                    Now, sensible people know that stock markets are not great indicators of the economy's strengths but they are tangentially informative. Year to date, the market is up substantially (about 3200 points). I see that as increased corporate confidence in a decreasing regulatory environment tempered by uncertainty associated with trade.

                    Trump claims stocks would be 10,000 points higher if the Fed lowered interests rates enough. There is nothing to support that claim and a ton of support for his continued trade tiff going on with the inscrutable Chinese putting downward pressures on markets globally. I've said for a while now that I support a tough US stand on China trade but there has to be a suitable off-ramp or, as it drags on, the more uncertainty it creates in the business community which drags down markets.

                    For you young bucks trying to build on your retirement next egg through investments in the markets, in a flat market, which we are going to experience through the lead up to the 2020 presidential election, you better have some good dividend paying stocks in your portfolio. Once Trump gets shit-canned, like he should if the polls are to be believed, and Warren is in line to be our next president, equities are going to take a dive. Think about portfolio allocation and get some low cost, sound advice on that subject.

                    Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. But the shine on the NC Trophy is embarrassingly wearing off. It's M B-Ball ..... or hockey or volley ball or name your college sport favorite time ...... until next year.

                    • Every Trump voter owns this stupid shit. Here's "Mayor Rudy" going on Howard Kurtz's show, an aggressively friendly interview, to tell Kurtz he sohuld be ashamed of himself. And Continuing to rant after Kurtz tells them they're up against a commercial. Watch Kurtz shake his head in disbelief as Rudy continue to rant and rant about the Bidens being the most corrupt family in global history.

                      • He sounds so sane and rational. Here is Mayor Rudy blasting the media for not giving him all the air time he demands. He holds up an IPad and demands we gotta talk about Romania. Howard Kurtz just wants him to get the fuck off his show

                        This extremely stupid shit is what Trump voters find impressive.

                            • Just another backstab by Trump has green lighted a Turkish offensive against who was arguably our stoutest ally in Iraq/Syria. Two fold goal - kill the YPG and create a dumping zone for the Syrian refugees that fled to Turkey.

                              Bored of sucking Putin and Kim's cocks, Trump kneels before another authoritarian dictator.

                              Kurdish-led forces accuse the US of abandoning them as Turkey prepares to enter northern Syria.
