It's not a BOMBSHELL but Chris Wallace revealed this morning that they've discovered that frequent Fox guests Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing have been secretly working with Giuliani for Trump for months trying to dig up dirt on Biden.They've been working "off the books" and only Trump himself knew what they were up to. So these two have been working for Trump for a long time now and never bothered to disclose this to Fox.

Rep. Chris Collins is expected to plead guilty to insider trading charges. As I recall, the Trumpkins had insisted this was a political prosecution. Trump had bashed Jeff Sessions for allowing this prosecution to take place before the midterms. The same Trump who is gravely concerned about corruption today.Comment

This is a significant document released by the Intel Community IG and represents pushback on some lies being pushed by rightwing media and Trump himself.
One, the document stresses that, the actual statute does not require information be first-hand only.
Two, the rules were not changed right before the complaint was made, as numerous idiots have claimed. The form being used is the same one created in May of 2018.
The Inspector General is again establishing that the whistle-blower followed all the correct procedures

We're going to have to listen to both sides bloviating fthroough November at least. It's going to get really ugly. I'm not sure the Ds have the leadership or the fortitude to ram Articles of Impeachment through the house quickly, let alone have an iron clad, straight forward and unencumbered legal case against Trump that the Senate will have a hard time overlooking. The House has to focus on the singular and unmistakable law breaking that occurred when Trump talked to Zelinski and asked him to look into Biden. They can't muddy the impeachment waters with ancillary shit.
The messaging from the Ds also has to be simple enough and on point - the President broke the fucking law and is flaunting it, people - to move the undecided on impeachment into the constituency that favors it. When the voters are convinced Trump has to go and willing to write their R Senators stating they support a trial in the Senate, the R Senators can't overlook that if they want to avoid getting swept out of their shaky majority.Mission to CFB's National Championship accomplished. Its not altogether clear Trump broke a law even if there's a demonstrated quid pro quo. But I think most people, when being honest, would agree that pressuring a foreign country to give you dirt on your political enemy is slimy and unethical. It's easier to convince someone there's something wrong with doing that rather convincing them it's wrong to obstruct justice even if you know you're innocent. And impeachment obviously doesn't need to involve an actual crime, though I suppose it helps the public support it more if there's evidence of one.
It'll be interesting to see if Trump can control himself for weeks and months. He already said today that they are trying to uncover the whistle-blower's identity. Not sure of the exact statute, but that's possibly a crime and arguably retaliation, which would almost certainly be a violation of the law. The whole purpose of whistle-blower laws is to provide anonymity and protection from retaliation. But anyways...can Trump control himself? A lot of the people who used to try and restrain him are gone. He's got mainly enablers now, worst of all could be Rudy who I believe has been feeding him what he wants to hear for months now.Comment

Trump is ranting and raving again this morning. The statement the IG put out last night flatly contradicts much of his narrative.
Trump says the whistleblower had nothing but second-hand information. The IG says that's not true.
Trump says the whistleblower got everything wrong about the phone call. Anyone who can read can see that's not true.
And Trump is reiterating that he has a right to learn the whistleblower's identity and confront them. That would make government whistleblower protections completely meaningless.Comment

This is an interesting theory that I had not heard yet and it was published in a pro-Trump source.
Essentially Rudy Giuliani got conned by a former Ukrainian Prosecutor, Lutsenko, that he had "the goods" on Biden. Lutsenko was months away from being forced out and, as a way or surviving, may have figured it'd be valuable to have Trump and his personal attorney on his side. So he started making all kinds of promises to Rudy about how much info he had.
Zelensky fired Lutsenko at the end of August and has completely reversed himself, now saying he never had anything and Rudy incessantly prodded him to produce.
